most of them will fit provided you make custom brackets and rails for the seats. Even then the fitment will be cramped. The best ones are the non-reclinable ones like the pro2000, or the Rev. Don't bother trying to fit the EVO or EVO2 though, the bottom of the seat is too wide to fit in an FD. Some people (AArotary, Eric ) have had luck fitting the torinos in. As long as you find someone to fabricate some rails you should be fine. However you might have to sacrifice your sliders if you want to keep the ride height low

Take a look at Gorgon's car. I believe he is using the Sparco Milano seats.

It seems with the Sparco reclining seats, the problem is the location on the ***** on the sides of the seats. Here's a good how-to:

Actually, I'm looking at using the Corbeau A4 seats. The seat ***** are lower on their seats than the Sparco, so I don't believe there will be a problem fitting them in.

I heard only the non adjustable ones fit because the adjustable ones are too wide.

I believe that the above statement is a misinformation.

As far as I know the EVO will fit in an FD. The wings(shoulder) are bit wide and will touch the padding on the door but the bottom of the seat is certainly not too wide.

I am not sure about the EVO2. EVO2 are wider.

Rob Robinette never got around to putting the EVO seat in his car. However, I have an EVO seat and it does fit.

I believe you can, but they are something like $3500 a piece! I remember someone mentioning this in another thread.

I can deal with a little fitment problems for saving that much per seat going with another brand.

Well, thats what I meant anyway.
I could see paying that (and no more) for the set to my door with everything I need. But otherwise that just too damn freaking expensive.
Maybe we should contact Recaro of America and see if they could get us some of make a limitied run???

What do you mean by "fit"?

Most of the seats will have "some" fitment issues. I don't think there are aftermarket seats that direct replacements (except for the Recaro seats mentioned above and I think Mazdaspeed has some seats as well for like $3k a piece too).

Any Sparco, Momo, Corbeau or the others will need some work to get them installed, period.

Here are a few pics of my FD. It takes about 16 hours of labor to get these things to fit. I ended up doing them with a few of my friends. You have to hack the stock and Sparco seats to make them fit in the RX-7.

The Momo shift **** sits much lower than the pic that is shown.

hey Reckless, what part of the seat did you have to chop up to make that fit? My recaro doesn't sit as low as your seats, I want to have mine sit low like yours!
