I read in your sig that its a 40 idf? just wanted to know if you were happy with it or if you wanted to go bigger? You have been posting on my turbo kit thread so you know im looking for a carb. it looks like you also running a 13b. So, a 40 idf would be enough for my 12a?

Well, from my understanding, which is very limited since this is my first turbo car, the carb size makes a minimal difference since you are forcing air into it.

The kit is made by Corky Bell with the 40, and I imagine that he did some research before he produced it.

A couple of reasons why I didn't go bigger with the carb:

Having a manifold made
Finding jets big enough
Re-Working the plenum

I believe that adrenalifeRX7 is running a Cartech (IE - Corky Bell) kit on his ported 13B with a 40mm carb...I think its an IDA though, but still... I could be wrong though, so dont quote me.

I have a Cartech kit also, and the 40 was on the car when I bought it.

 

I'm using a modded nikki for my setup.
