Fitment is perfect, no rubbing with stock suspension. Appearance-wise, I should have gone with a slightly wider tire up front but this setup is otherwise fine.

Front: 18x8 offset 38
Pirelli PZero Asymmetrico Rosso 235/40/18

Rear: 18x9 offset 45
Pirelli PZero Asymmetrico Rosso 275/35/18

you put a 275/35 on the 9" wide rim? Why not 255?

Chris, I couldn't see the pictures because I got the "you have exceeded your bandwidth" crap from Geoshitties earlier today so if you don't mind, I'll put 'em up for everyone to see in case it happens again. Nice wheels, BTW. And at the very bottom on the white FD, you can get an idea on what they will look like on your car when it's lowered.

Those are actually 19's I believe.

 

I originally had 235 f&r and they were WAY too narrow. I found a good local price on a pair of 275 with only 200 miles on them. They fit perfectly on the 9" rim. The 235s are a little rounded on the 8" front, so I'll get 245 or 255 next time up front. Why do these tires seem narrow on these wheels? I don't know!

Thanks for posting the pics here Speedking. I agree it would look much better a inch lower in the rear. I'm happy with the front. I have a set of H&Rs but will have to do more research before buying shocks.

Chris, you'll get different looking sidewalls with different brands/models. For example, an old set of Kumho Ecstas of mine had very square sidewalls (almost 90 degree angle from sidewall to tread face), but my latest Dunlop SP9000s have a compartively rounded profile.

If I ever get my car together, I'll let you feel how H&Rs and Koni Yellows ride (with 19's - mwhahahha!). You'd probably be on your third FD by then though, hehe.

David (dclin)- That makes perfect sense and I agree, but...these 275s were on a vette with 9" fronts (HRE) and the previous owner said they were too wide. The shoulders were "over" square. He watched them mount them on my wheels and was shocked to see that they fit fine. Go figure. I guess wheel design plays some part.
Yes, I definitely want a feel of how H&Rs ride with Konis. Hurry your butt into gear, man! Maybe I can help...you know my red fd sat for almost a year. What kind of motivation do you need?

 

Not really motivation at this point - just a little cooperation from mom nature for a bit of good temp/weather so I can paint. That, and another 3 grand or so to finish of the interior.

So what was your other screename year? How long have you had the rims? Do you like them? Also, what size are they exactly?

 

I know that my friend had posted the pics before we were gonna try to sell the rims...strange situation...and that's how everyone has pics of the car from his forum name (i think thats what you were reffering to in asking my other screenname?) consider it a semi joint project, but its in my driveway..hehe...
The car is a 94 white touring and the rims have been around about 2 years now....They are 19's on AVS sports front tire size 245/35/19 --- rear tire size 275/30/19 (just fyi..in the picture you see it in the NITTO tires, but had to change them since then...plus I like the yoko's better)

BTW, for the guy who started this thread...To fit this size you have to roll the fenders out and you can pretty much drive it normal without it scrapping like crazy at the drop it is now

 

oh i forgot to answer your other question...I love the rims...I haven't seen them around on any other car....unless you see them on a forum post like this...when I drive the car around...I always get someone who goes says "hey your boyfriends car is nice"...and i just smile..and say it's mine..I love that

 

So the drop you have on the car is/was causing the rubbing right? What kind of drop is that, it's pretty damn low.

 

it is pretty low....That's how low it is driving on the street...and I live in Los Angeles, so I don't get to drive fast much...unless I put the REGAMASTERS on (they are 17's) and raise the car a little...=)

AMRAAM4, i think it was a dual effect from the drop plus it's 19's ...And it was not fun driving around with the fenders stock..I am thinking of getting like the FEED fenders b/c they are already about a little less than an inch wider =)
