I heard Kakimoto makes some really nice exhausts. My friend has the GT1.0z full titanium on his WRX, and I was wondering if anyone here has a Kakimoto on their FD. If so, how do you like it? I need a new exhaust since my old one got damaged while driving up a steep driveway.

 

wow, its a long time since i heard of that exhaust system. Is the entire exhaust system/piping titanium or is it just the muffler?

 

The whole exhaust is Titanium. The piping and muffler are all Titanium, so the system weight about 9lbs total. It's pretty expensive for just a catback though, about $1100. There's a stainless version for $650.

i thought that JIC was the only exhaust that was full titanium...anyways, I heard that the kakimoto exhaust is very nice but loud as a mother...I heard it sounds really really mean though

 

Yeah the Kakimoto sounds f*ckin sick! My friend's WRX sounds like a mix between a WRC car/Harley Davidson/Ported Rotary. It's super loud, you can hear him coming from over a mile away, but the sound is unmatched by any other exhaust. I think I'm going to get one for my FD now.
