Damn guys, kit looks freakin' amazing :icon_tup:

Alright it looks like I've got it figured out. Just waiting for Ramy to give the go ahead to start placing orders....I'll let Ramy post the pricing tomorrow. SORRY for the hold up! :) But we may do an initial offering group buy so the wait may be worth it.

Is a single cooler kit planned?

Is there such a thing as too cool?

We can make one to work with the 20b, the only difference will be a shorter line from the front cover and a longer line from the oil pedistal....unless you're running a dry sump. I'm sure we can work something out for you though.

Sounds good but will it be available for awhile? I was planning on an oil cooler upgrade with my rebuild and thats a ways off.

Looks good! What do you have planned for the ductwork that will be necessary to use these coolers properly?
So really, there's no need for ducting in this specific case. But in the pursuit of perfection (lol), I am designing my own (much better functioning and fitting) version of the OEM oil cooler ducts! :)

yeah mine would be for a 20b as well, although i have a re-speed oil filter pedestal with a -6an welded bung (if i remember the size correctly).
also, are 25 row coolers really necessary? i was under the impression that dual 19 row mocals were more than enough. i guess if the space is there why not, but i cant see how i could ever heat up 50 rows of oil cooler lol. also wouldnt you trap more dirt oil between oil changes than with smaller coolers? and id think the 19's are cheaper. anyway the kit looks awesome, and ill most likely be buying a set. -Heath  Oh and the original post has been edited to include pricing :) Thanks! ~Ramy |

Why? I figured you'd have realized after owning an FD that two are better than one :D (Can you tell I'm a HARDCORE twins fan?! haha) ...... ~Ramy |
hey quick question, can anyone comment on the fitment of the 99 fogs with this kit? they seem like they may hit each other. i know theyre gonna cut down on air flow defeating some of this extra cooling potential, but its a fine balance between performance and aesthetics... and aesthetics might win this round. hopefully they can coexist peacefully (like humans and fish as our president so poignantly put it  )

good question....I'm not sure. Are the lights recessed in the bumper, or are they sitting flush with it? On the stock 93-95 fog lights I'm almost positive they sit flush with the oil cooler opening from the rear ( I hope that makes sense)

We're also developing a single 25 row oil cooler for those who don't want to spend as much or guys who have auto's.
-Dan |
How much for just the coolers, with the mounting brackets and a thermostat, no fittings, or lines? A price for each type would be great. Thanks!

-Dan Think I could have one in my hands by June? -s- |

-Dan Scott, The single kit will be available when the dual kit is released, which will be within the next few weeks. :) |
for everyone interested in seeing how the lines are routed with the radiator in....heeeeeeeeere ya go! The lines clear the cross brace nicely and in that picture the AC compressor is not bolted to the PS tensioner, so it doesn't look right.

http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id...ntent=51&mnu=5 If this won't work with the new setup, is there another location you'd recommend? I'd like to be able to use the same sensor with both setups if possible. -s- |
Scotty, The kit will retain the OEM banjo bolt and your method will work just fine. We are working on offering a CNC'd oil pedestal with additional fittings for temp/pressure sensors, but will not impede the flow of oil.
Heath, if I could get a picture of the bumper uninstalled with the lights mounted I would be able to see if it would fit. |
I am super interested. I want the black cored with the braided lines. What kind of time frame are we looking at?
|
Just to clarify, will those of us with touring editions need anything extra to get the 2nd(passenger's) oil cooler hook'd up?
|
cash money, we will be organizing a group buy in the next week or so. Once the group buy is started we'll need 10 orders to get the discounted pricing.
00spec - You will not need anything extra to hook up our kit, everything you will need is included. :) -Dan |
I'm in for group buy when ready.
