jorx7 asked to see if we can get a GB going on the discontinued RE-Amemiya FC3S Turbo II Hood Scoop Vent, if I can make them for you guys - which I'm sure I can. So...lets get the list going, and we'll see if we can get the ball rolling on this one! :)

by chance, what's the price looking like (ballpark figure) for these? and outta curiousity, will there be any kind of option in choosing the material (FRP, Kevlar, Carbon, Etc.)?

1) Slow down; I gotta find the part first (unless 95nracer lets me use his ;))

2) Cool...sounds like there's def. enough interest.

3) Pricing, I have no idea. It's too early to tell. While I try to keep prices as low as possible, plz keep in mind that for anything and everything I make, I emphasize quality over cost (within reason of course). And of course, the # of parts we sell will directly impact the cost.

4) Yes, I'd be happy to offer different materials (fiberglass, metal, or CF). But each material will prob. require a minimum # of orders, because each material is made differently and thus requires a different mold/jig to be made.

fdnewbie if no one can come up with a doner re. scoop . i have a spare t2 scoop i can send you with an out line of the opening from the hood itself. and maybe you can work some magic. and make a custom one.

Anything's possible, but I'd like to shoot for an original if possible.

i contacted 95nracer and asked him to contact fd newbie to see if he can loan his vented scoop to him for a mold. to get our gb going. hopefully he'll help us out.

I think that 95nracer is probably a nice guy, but what purpose would he have (or anybody else for that matter) to offer it? Seriously the guy had his car recently painted and everything matches paint wise. I would think there needs to be something in it for him to do that. When I see everyone else like shine and JKL racing Eng. put something on like this, they pony up and go obtain the piece and re-sell it after.

Well I'd be happy to pay 95nracer to use it, so he could get the part back and even paint-matched again if need be...

That looks slick,I'd be in for one.With a little bit of triming of the hood underneath, it would even be somewhat more functional, rather then mostly for appearence :)

High flow? As in better than the other design? Does putting 4 vents in the same space the 3 occupy make for better venting? It looks OK, I'm just wondering...

Most likely it will do nothing extra over the 3 vent version,which is probably not much to begin with.If you look underneath the hood, you will see why.If you trim out the hood in that area you will get more of a benefit out of the 4 vent version,but the hood bracing goes along there so you just can't cut out the whole area underneath the vents.Regardless, the vent does look cool :D

K just for clarity's sake, can we get a NEW list going of who's game w/ this 4-vent scoop? Wanna make sure everyone's on the same page before proceeding, and then we'll really get the ball rolling :)

that doesn't look like it would bolt up onto the stock hood scoop... i'm sorry but i'm going to have to pass unless i see pictures of that "new one" installed...

It would be test-fitted on a Turbo II hood and the mold would be built only after fitment has been perfected.

can we see pics of the scoop installed??? would love to see how it would look!
