BTW, as I'm building the database on the new website, I'll be including a section SPECIFIC not only for individual order status, but also ETA on the next shipment, when it departs, scheduled arrival time, delays, etc etc. No minute-to-minute updates w/ GPS triangulation though :rofl:

Damn it! I must have instantaneous tracking confirmation of the location! I have some friends in the CIA who could possibly help us out, let me make some calls.

An online order status service would be awesome. I ordered my parts only a couple days ago, and already I'm getting antsy. :D

Daniel, I guess it would be a bad idea to tell ya that your parts already arrived in Japan? LOL. :D No joke; just gotta wait for the container to leave, cuz your parts are HEAVY. Solo shipping would be VERY expensive...

Ramy, when do you expect to have the new site and tracking system in place? Will the tracking system also work for tracking GB stuff? Thats a really cool idea you got there.

I was digging around earlier for some old pics that I attached to a post in '04, in which I declared that I would be finishing up and begin painting within two weeks. Just went out to the garage to look at the FD .... and apparently that didn't happen. :)

As ambitious as my intentions are, good money says that the car ain't gonna be done anytime soon after I get the parts anyways. :D

So... what's the good word?

dhahlen like I said, the wheels turn slowly in Japan. The stuff was packed up and dropped off at the port. It had to be stacked and set on palates, wrapped, was pulled aside to be inspected by Customs, then was loaded onto the container and scheduled to leave on the next ship. Plz be patient. I'd appreciate we keep the smart remarks to a minimum, as some of ya have made you fair share already ;)

So why weren't we told that it would take this long? I would've paid for shipping directly from Japan if I had known it was going to take over 3 months. You've had my twins since late May and they're JUST now getting shipped out.

ramy, balancing ur med school and this high profit rx7 import business is hella hard...

i suggest u get somone on the payroll, just to do all these time wasting things. like checking updates and chasing orders. that'll save u more time and alot more energy to improve ur service and UR LIFE!!!

That's a great idea, minus the assumption that this is a high profit business lol. The margins are very low b/c everyone wants everything top quality for bottom dollar prices and w/ overnight turnaround. There are only a handful of ppl who are really willing to pay the big $$s for the real deal and know what that entails. So don't like the hype fool ya. If I was makin that much money, I'd consider a career change :p:
