are we going to be able to get these by thanksgiving?

BlueRex 10-28-06 04:20 PM

Just wanted to let you guys know that, Ramy, plans to close the GB in a weeks time and turn the orders over to Chuck at that time :).

-Jason

FDNewbie 10-28-06 04:31 PM

Yep...looks like we have 23 orders Paid in Full (I don't see a "PAID" next to cbf246's name), so get in while you can!

Thanks
~Ramy

BlueRex 11-01-06 09:17 PM

Bump because the GB is closing at weeks end.

Juiceh 11-03-06 09:43 PM

Any idea when we can expect an ETA now?

Just give us a couple days to get the orders to Chuck, then I'm sure he'll be able to give us an ETA ;).

Juiceh 11-05-06 01:00 AM

Last time I talked to Chuck(last month) he was going out of the country soon and didn't know when he would be back... Theres probably plenty of time for him to get these out though, I can't imagine it takes him long. Chuck works Fast!

I am hearing the same from others. Since Ramy has been keeping busy I sent the information to Chuck and requested an ETA when he has one. I'll do my best to keep you guys up to date on the situation :).

So is it too late?

Juiceh 11-14-06 06:00 PM

BleuRex, any news?

Some news; I had previously told late additions that it would be okay as long as Chuck didn't mind, but it looks like Chuck is trying to get this done quick which means the orders are already being processed, so no more late additions, sorry (vel525 you're order went in with everyone elses). In other words Chuck is working on getting these done ASAP, but he didn't give an ETA.

I'll let you guys know when I get more info :).

FDNewbie 11-20-06 10:26 PM

Bad news guys...Chuck had an unanticipated sudden change in plans, and as such, he's leaving ASAP, so unfortunately the GB's a no-go. At this point in the game, we have one of two choices:

1) We can change the order to a Tein hood damper kit GB
- These do NOT require any cutting or drilling (just like Chuck's), and are high quality
- I'd have to verify what kind of pricing I can get on them, but it would be similar

2) We can forget about the GB altogether and refund everyone their money. Lemme know what you guys wanna do.

Thanks for your understanding,
~Ramy

RX7SP 11-20-06 10:43 PM

Keep the GB and get the tein's instead I would rather have the tein than lose money going back and forth with paypal fees

eo2am 11-20-06 10:44 PM

I would like hood damper, I really dont care if their black or green, hell they all do the same job. But dont the tein cost alot more? I second the last post.

eo2am 11-20-06 11:16 PM

I guess I was wrong the tein are alot cheaper.

Juiceh 11-20-06 11:23 PM

How would switching to the Tiens affect the GB pricing?

Well, I want hood dampers weather they be RE or Tien I don't care too much really. Would have liked the black RE ones better. Too bad Chuck is leaving. http://smiliesftw.com/x/frown.gif

FDNewbie 11-20-06 11:33 PM

It's ok... If there's one thing I've learned from this forum, it's that actually reading posts is apparently over-rated  :p:

scrubolio 11-21-06 12:14 AM

i thought i saw a post somewhere that said something had to be modified with some aftermarket dampers, and chuck's required no modificaton because of the bracket?

FDNewbie 11-21-06 12:31 AM

Yep...but the Tein's specifically don't require any modification. They're bolt-on.
