I just realized with your photo that he actually has these made with a symmetrical layup. Something I also noticed on his UC-10 clusters. But, on those, it's obvious since it's one piece. It also sucks that literally everyone else who does the other pieces of the dash lay the carbon on the HVAC panel the OTHER (wrong) direction from the weave on his UC-10 cluster.
With these, the symmetry is the center of the engine bay, even though these flank the sides and don't touch. And he still went through the effort to have these done correctly.
You only see the effort to layup CF symmetrically from the best carbon guys. Sometimes not even then.
That's a super nice touch.
Now @FD Wheel Covers In Carbon you just need to make a front lip with a symmetrical layup. It bugs to me no end that front and rear exterior CF are virtually never laid symmetrically. Oh, and your dash vents.
A bunch of people have been asking about matching center pieces. I’m about to finish up a console design for a CAN keypad, once that’s done we will make all the bits matching each other.
but for now, here’s my car getting wired up. Finally got the UC-10 in my own car! Exciting times
everyone is sleeping on the dash ends, I’ve only sold a couple sets. Which is honestly surprising, I love seeing them as soon as you open the doors
I have a new engine bay piece almost ready to reveal..
Plus a whole widebody kit from Team Rotary Revolution… full comp body, ground clearance less than a soda can on its side, massive flares, custom bumpers etc. You will need to run air suspension if you have any hope of driving on the street. We need to raise funds for a new comp car build 3 rotor to be competitive at the top of the class. Until now Ma, the team owner and designer, didn’t want to let anyone else run his aero, but we need to go faster, and we need funds to get there.
