So this time I am going to make it much shorter and not bother translating. Sorry.

So here goes.

Since this is my thread I might as well post up where I work and sell parts from.

Wise One Auto in Chiba (on the border of Saitama, and Ibaraki) 30 minutes from Tsukuba Circuit.
You can PM me or email me if you are coming and want to get some parts etc.
wiseonesales@hotmail.com

Ok now for the other used parts dealers etc in Japan.

You will most likely need an internet translation system or a friend who can translate for you for most of these links. I will categorize them and title them.

If I can remember any other shops I will post them up. If you wander into a bookstore in japan there is also a huge Magazine called Goo-Parts that is about the size of the Yellow Pages phonebooks and is filled with used parts.

Happy parts hunting!

I have 2 sets of coilovers in Japan right now that I really need to be shipped back to Los Angeles, So-Cal... Do you happen to know anyone who could ship these coilovers for me in Japan or could you possibly ship them for me? They will be packaged already all I need is someone to ship them to me.. If someone could help me please let me know and how much youd charge.. Thank you

Dave

Much appreciated, I don't have a date when it's happening but I'm guessing Aug or Sept

I lucked out (?) from having my PDS transferred to Misawa... Apparently the Army is fond of shipping people with my specific skill-set (18B/ 96D) there, but being able to pull rank is a great thing, when available (O2).

Yea I'm a big fan of upgarage because I can get stuff shipped to the house COD. That's kind of nice since the upgarage in Hiroshima doesn't really have a lot. I'm currently hunting down some parts for a friend in the states right now. But I tell you what 99-02 mud guards and side skirts are still a nightmare to find. Makers7 closed in Hiroshima and now they are only in Fukuoka and some other place I'm about to give them a call as well. Great thing that my wife and son both speak Japanese, that sure helps!

There are a few shops, Vertex I'm sure can order you one. There use to be a shop called Makers7 in Hiroshima and they are a shop to know if you have a RX7 in this area. But they closed about 5 years ago. They are however still in Fukuoka, several hour drive down, but it was a fun shop to visit here. They always have a ton of RX7's there and are extremely nice people. I'm thinking of getting my car dyno tunned down there later. There are a few really small shops around this area that might be able to get them too. I have a personal friend that can pretty much order anything but he's not so great with used parts unless he just happens to have one.

No that's Cpl Perry's Silver RX-7, he works at the Armory. I was over at 242 but I just got PCA orders over to MALS-12. What unit are you with? 225? If nothing crazy comes up I might be able to take you by vertex this weekend. I've got a baby coming due any day now, so if she holds out another week I should be free.

Okay, thank the maker for this thread.

Anyone have any idea where I can source a 20B block/engine in the Kanto area that is NOT off of yahoo auctions or already rebuilt?

I want a 20B, but I don't feel like paying 85万円 (I've seen Cosmos for taht much) to re-amemiya for a rebuilt engine that I'm going tear apart again. Seeing as my 7 is stateside, I need a hobby (idle hands, that kinda thing).

I would also like to go take a look at the engine before I buy it as well...

Anyone with any leads?

Ok sorry to thread crash but I almost just lost my mind. First of all you are not a 18B/96D. They don't correlate atall. Second of all 18B and 96D are enlisted MOS's O2 is an officer rank. Third of all if you were one of us 18 series you wouldn't pull rank because you know it's completely gay and wouldn't fly in any team room. Furthermore, if you were an 18 series operator you wouldn't be in OKI long enough at any point in the year to travel and build a decent car in OKI. You would be engaged in a non-stop slew of JCETS/JSOC exercises as well all OEF/OIF/OEF-P engagements. So please stop trying to misrepresent yourself as a green beret.

Thanks
Seth the real 18C here.

In other news.. will UP garage ship internationally? My wife and her mother are from Osaka so i wanted to have her call up and order me some parts but was curious if they would ship here.

Up Garage and Garage Off prices on most things are pretty high when you consider the high Yen and the cost of shipping to the US.

OTOH, for some reason strut tower bars are really cheap. I got a set of Cusco bars front and back for my MR-2 for like $75. lol.

It is fun just to look around at what they have. Only occasionally will you find a truly good deal on something.

But a lot of things you're better off buying new, with a warranty instead of paying 20-30% less and getting used.

Most of them time you're better off finding things on Yahoo Auction where people sell things to get money back (at a pretty big loss) instead of for a profit. There are people who sell rebuild LSDs for cars for reasonable prices though. Used LSD's are reasonable here since so many people install them compared to the US.

Used coilovers are pretty cheap but they tend to need full rebuilds on at least one corner, and the good ones end up going for pretty high prices. Plus it's hard to really judge what a set is really worth without doing a lot of research. It could end up costing as much as a new set would cost once you have them rebuilt.

they have a latch which is basically a u-bolt welded or occasionally bolted to the rear strut tower. The people telling you the strut bar has latches for the seat are wrong. The latches on the strutbar are for the rear tunnel cover/panel.

The rear seats are so easy to fab up mounts, I have no idea why so many people struggle with it.
