help me identify my VIN please

hi
i am looking to buy a 1996 RX7 with this VIN number.
i think it has the twin oil coolers and alcantara seats, would this be a type R?

vin is FD3S405238.

Is the sticker still in the drivers door sill. If so that will have all information. Japan doesn't really base cars off vin so finding exact info is a little difficult.

yes it is there, car is very original.

it says type R.
is that a bathurst R?

No it shouldn't be a Bathurst. It would have an over sized gas tank and and a lot of random carbon fiber. Type r is kind of the base model with basic trim focused on more sports than luxury.
