If so, where? I think most of the auto-related stuff is in Yokohama or Kyoto...

but anything specific where I could bring some parts back in my check-ed in bags?

I'll be moving there come springtime. Interested to hear what you find out.

RE Amemiya is in Chiba. Not the easiest to get to. Nice shop to visit though...

I occasionally head there myself and was wondering the same thing. Googling discovered...

whoa, the site doesn't seem to like the links. Actually, clicking on them works, but the text should read "upgarage.com" and "supernow.co.jp"

I've been out of rotaries for while, but RE's shop is about 2-2 1/2 hours from where I live. I've not been out there but might be convinced if it's in conjuction with a track session. Upgrage shops are all over the place.. there are 4 withing 30ish minutes from me. If you want to see parts in person, they are cool. Otherwise, you can just look on the up-garage website.

Up garage is an awesome shop but you can also just order online with them. They have more inventory online anyway. If you're in Japan, I'd just buy online at yahoo auction. You can make payment from an ATM without an account and have it shipped wherever you're staying like next day or 2 days max.
