started making up a 3 gauge pod for the FC center dash, i couldnt find one i liked so figured ill just make up a quick one in between other projects. if theres anybody interested in one heres a step of how im going about it.
im using this to make a mold and will copy it for anybody is needing one when its finished but heres where im at.

had some time tonight to cut, form and milkshake. ill shape it in some more later, primer and flange and set down a gellgoat to make the mold.

 

I am liking how this is turning out. Although you definitely need to take some higher resolution pictures! Those thumbnail sized pics are a bit hard to tell the details in.
I'm assuming the pods will be sized to hold 52mm/2" gauges?

 

looks pretty good. although as stated above the pics are small and I cant make them bigger.

 

yea there going to be up to a 2" i tried to get the pics uploaded on here direct but didnt happen ill try something later to get better pics.
i layed a lock layer of hair tonight going to give it a few hours and drop 2 more then a matt .be about a week before ill be able to trim and see how it fits but if all goes to plan ill make a mold

been pretty busy with projects but ill be getting back to this soon to finish it up . i just need to lay 4 more layers then ill make that plug up to make afew copies ill deff let you know when there ready ..

You made this look easy. Been toying around with the idea of making one. I'll have to start this after I finish painting Hozzmans headlight covers. Maybe I'll have time after this Nike job and Cars land jobs are finished.
