RX-7 club in Belgium

I just got a letter from the NSU club stating they're going to put more effort into creating a RX-7 chapter of the club. It's still early, but since there has been some talking about this and now it's sure something will be happening, I thought I'd better share this.

The very intresting part of joining would be the fact that we could get away with the nice parts of a club, without the troubles of grounding one. There would be no need to think about finances, as the NSU-club will do so. We can just be part of the rotary family and finally be able to meet eachother, and do some stuff together. (drinking, talking, ... and maybe some driving )

The membership fee is very low: just €25,- a year, not very much at all. And you're able to get cheaper insurance (esp. the older first gens, that will be oldtimers soon), and parts from certain stores.

Aren't there two NSU clubs in Belgium ?
I know one of the key members of one of the clubs but I don't know which club he belongs to...

I only know the NSU club that is member of the BFOV and so to say "official", they also are the ones who represent Belgium on international meetings. Those who are intrested can check www.nsu.be.
They are located everywhere But most chat meetings are either in Mechelen (near Nekkerspoel) or Zellik.

Ok, I know the "erevoorzitter" of this club :-)
It would be nice to join an existing club as I don't have the time to organise these things...

You know Georges? Seems everybody knows everybody in Belgium
He's the one who pointed me towards the Ro80 I bought in Germany.

Anyway, as said: we are welcome to join (well, I did last year) so I think you guys must really think about it. It's the only way we will be able to do something. Making a new club is just to much work. And foreign clubs are nice, but just to far away.

of course the NSU-public is slightly older then the RX7 guys, but the club has a rather good mix. The world famous 12A-turbo powered Ro80 is owned by a rather young guy, for example.

Maybe interesting....

At work there is a regular mgazine and this time therewas an add in it of some guy selling out his stock of Mazda parts 1970-1995

I gave him a call and he has still some small parts for sale for RX7 or Mazda 1000

If you're looking for something he might have it

The NSU-club has stated it will have a place for us (RX-7 and other non-NSU Wankel powered cars/bikes): the first meeting was planned too, I'll have to take a look when and where, but it looks as if you guys don't have a choice anymore: join!
