I was just kidding on the 20B Stuff really, although that engine is very intriging to me.

Recently I have found some videos of both turbo and NA 20b's sounding incredible.
Dispite the strict rules in Belgium I guess it could be done to have a 20b in an FD and get it on the road. Insurance won't be happy with it though, nor will the owner when he get's into an accident.

Either way. What would be the price of a 20B short/long block? As far as I know 20B's they have thesame rotors and housing as 13b's except for the extra center plate and E-shaft.
Anyweejz... I guess such a project will not fit my budget in the next years...

thx

Hmm, wonder if I could trade it with my DeLorean and use it as a dialy driver

Wouldn't have the cash to import in into Holland though, if that is even possible

As for FD with 20B: It's not the engine that's the problem, it's getting it running. Very few people (if any!) in Belgium will be able to tune the stand-along ECU (cosmo wo't work, unless someone has really good skills to mod it) for a a three rotor. If you go Motec, I guess Kempower could do some good work. But still: loads of €uro's!!!
Plus it's so illegal you're never gonna feel secure with

Just let the 20B's stay in the Cosmo!
These are rare already and in i few years they will not be there at all!
Just like the Ro80 (but there was the rust that killed them)

Roy, hows your car now?

Hi.

I agree on letting the 20 B stay in a cosmo. It is an "out of this world" car, and soon there will be very few left.

But, we do have a spare engine that is already robbed from it's original home.

Roy's Cosmo-status is something I will let him answer on.

Ciao

To put things straight: I'd never steal an engine from a Cosmo, it's just that there happen to be a few front clips from crashed cars on the market.

I knew that was coming. But there's one little difference: I'll have the car registered as an oldtimer, which means (in Belgium) I do not have to take it to car-inspections and can't drive it on a regular basis. It's the price I have to pay for owning such a modified car here. It's still not making the car legal, but it does get a lot closer. An FD is obviously NOT an oldtimer, plus they are way more precise about the rules with such a car. It's also a lot more easy to see the difference between a 13B and 20B then it is to spot the difference between 12A/13B.

I only saw one in the flesh yet, but indeed in Germany.

Oh, and Speedworks: I'm not so sure if they won't see it, the extra rotor just seems a bit tricky to me.

Werny i will say her your regards.
Its not the Frey-Cosmo. Frey has an Black 20B SX model and all 3 in the Pics was 20B´s with ECCS option. My one is the blue with RE Amemiya Body kit, the black is from an Customer and the other blue is the car what i have sold.
The sold car was an perfect condition one owner car with full options, service records and only 62500km on the car.
