Staged Injection
does anybody know which ecu can handle 3 stages staged injection?i mean 2primaries,2secondaries and 2 additional for high rpms.i want each group to come alive at different engine speed and load.
Stupid Evil solutions which may or may not work, but I'm putting them up for thought anyway:
1) Run one set of injectors off an ECU aux output lead. You would probably have to choose between rpm-triggered or load-triggered injectors, but I think this would work. Hmm, I'm not sure about grounding issues (ie static electricity) or how well the system would handle the sudden impedance change - any electricians have thoughts on this?
2) Use primaries which operate at a very low minimum pulsewidth and secondaries with a higher minimum pulsewidth, and hook them both up to the ECU primary lead. That way the secondaries will not inject until their minimum pulsewidth is reached, which would probably allow for an idle with the primaries only, but the secondaries would come on shortly after the throttle is opened. The tertiaries could be run from the ECU secondary leads.
3) Same as #2, but use an ECU with individual injector trim to get the same effect (or to amplify the effect).

Microtech can do this,
you can use primary/secondary and hook up more injectors and use these as a microfueler setup, generally it is just used to add more fuel through a single injector but could be used to add more fuel through 2 extra injectors.
ie 2 primary injectors on all the time
2 secondary come it at 2psi or somthing
2 extra come in at 15 psi (can be set any where between 2 and 20psi or 30psi with the 3 bar map sensor)

i am happy cause i have thought many times about a microtech ltx setup which is also inexpensive.does the microfueler is an extra option when purchasing a microtech?can you determine the exact load when the microfueler output should be activated?
yes you can tell it exaclty when to turn on, anywhere from 2psi to 20psi or 30 with the 3 bar map sensor,
im not 100% sure you can contol the pulses but you can tune around the extra injectors coming in. i would have to consult the manual to find this out, i can do that tomorrow for you. i might have a play with it while im tuning my ski boat (LT8) and ill see if you can control the pulses.
it is a standard feature with the LT and LTX 8
