I still like the Microtech software, I will play around with the Haltech a bit more but like I said, I was raised on point and click, anything else seems foreign.

point and click is hard in a moving car, yea i'm used to it too, but the dos is faster

And I highly doubt any S4 owner is going to shed a tear over losing the stock TPS.

the microtech is point and click persay...........but umm yeah.......it makes your laptop function as a hand controller........why in the world would they program it like that !!
somethings just don't make sense to me

allright,
Instead of starting up another thread I will simply try and use this one,
I am torn betweent he two ecus as follows;
Microtech LT-12,
$900.00 USD
Inlcudes support for,
WB02,
BAC,
stock sensors,
comes with;
flying lead harness,
2.5bar MAP sensor
and the new
Haltech E6X,
$1095.00 + $58.00(3bar MAP sensor)
comes with flying lead harness,
TPS,
Water temp sensro,
Intake temp sensor,
Map sensor (extra $$$)
Fuse block,
Closed loop operations,
WBO2
Now can anybody convince me one way or another,
I have owned an LT-8 already but am selling it ot my freind for his Turbo Conversion, I liked it very much simplistic and good for what I needed at the time but now want MORE MORE MORE!!!

I will eventually want to do 20b! lt-8 wont do it the way I want it done! so choices lt-12 or E6X/k!
Plus my buddy is going to buy it from me for almost what it cost me! but he is going to keep the maps that are in there, his setup will be similar to mine when done so minimal tunning will be done!

The E6X does do split Ignition Timming on the 13b right? or was I misinformed?
And thanks for the thread evil, I am doing the turbo conversion for my freind I will make sure that evrything checks out!

Yes, and so does the LT8.

But From what I have read the E6X will run a 20b with split timming and the LT-8 Will not! I had one It worked Great don't get me wrong. But now I was drivability and reliability. I would like to get into my car and drive it without having to have my laptop handy! With my lt-8 i was constantly adjusting it to get it just right! and then the next day you guessed it! I would also like the closed loop function! All thaugh the same results can be had without it! It is definitely a plus for me! there are also all the extra inputs and outputs that i wish to make use of!
But the price of the lt-12 is appealing!

the e6k/x will not run ignition split on a 3 rotor. the e6k has 5 outputs total, 2 for fuel and 3 for spark, to run split timing on a 20b you need 6 outputs.

I just got an email back from Haltech and the e6x does not do split ifnition timming for a 20b nor is it an option!
But that is still never the less a tugofwar between the e6x and the lt-12!

BTW, unless the new E6X has some strange issues that I don't know about, it should run a 20B with 0 split timing by emulating a 6-cylinder engine.

I highly recommend that you buy an EMS with a closed-loop O2 function so that you will finally understand how little it will help you.

I think I have made up my mind but not certain on that! with the haltech i do get brand new sensors, but with the microtech I still use the stock ones! this is so far the only thing other than the possible 20b thing i am still debating!
Thank Evil for your help!

the e6x doesnt have a split timing map anymore so i'm wondering if they intend to have the e11 be the rotary ecu.
