Haltech and AC

I'm about to order a Haltech for my '89 II and I want to keep my AC. I hear this can cause problems. Is this true? And how can I run my AC and a Haltech.

No technical help from me on the T2, but I know MikeL has been running an E6K and A/C on his T2 for the last year or two without any major problems.
