What do you rock: Clutch and LSD
I am curious as to what type of Clutch and LSD you guys are running, please cast a vote and reply with the following: What chassis do you drift? What brand/type/action (1 way 1.5 way or 2 way) you are running. How do you like it and would you recommend it? How much are rebuild options, plus anything else you can add!
LOL, I don't know whay I typed "metal type" for the clutch.... Just think of it as stock type/replacement (ceramic/metallic or organic disc) you know what I mean and check it if it applies to you....
FD guys, sorry I forget to add the torsen to the LSD OEM, please check that if you are currently running one.
Thanks!

seems like the os giken twin is a popular one huh? I can see why though, i love how it feels. The pedal pressure is nice and the engagement isn't too rough either. I'm still on oem s5 t2 lsd but i'm still trying to figure out what aftermarket lsd to get.

From: We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
I should have clarified that the ATS is for the track car and the spec is for the street car.
I love clutchmaster clutches the pedal feel is great and it is not to grabby on engagement, but I know i need a better clutch for my next power upgrade than either Spec of Clutchmasters can provide. I really dont want to go twin plate on the street im not a fan of the feel for just weekend driving.
The race car is a little different, we have been wanting to try a couple of new things. The dog box is nice and like others I run a twin plate unsprung and it grabs like whoa. But again I am upping the power on this car as well and want to try something different. With the power I will be making getting tire speed will not be a problem so i am not worried about clutch kicking or any of that. WE are looking into direct drive.
If you have ever been to a dirt track you will notice a couple of things. Everyone has a mullet, at least 400hp and a direct drive trans. But only a couple have what i am wanting to try. You can take a 2spd powerglide transmission have a longer input shaft put in and the valve body reworked to you have a clutch on a auto trans. Your low gear would be for the pits and take offs, simply move the gear selector into high and you are direct drive with zero slip. Ive have driven a couple like this and love the idea. the only real problem i can foresee is if the motor bogged down under its power curve you can put it back into first but you get a very strong upset in the trans which could become a problem. It makes the rear wheels lock up for a split second.
Who knows, i just need to et this thing at least halfway done before the new year or I wont get to have any fun between running the shop, running 2 cars at the dirt track and trying to do some road courses and **** I am out of time.

getting sponsored!
but if i knew then, what i know now... it would have been one of my 1st choices of modifications.
edit....
i think you're asking about switching from the 2way to 1.5way... not about getting a real diff. lol
it was suggested by fellow team members.

Rocking a streetlite 13lb ACT, 6 puck sprung, and stage 3 pressure plate...stock, but heavily tightened clutch type Lsd...220 ft lbs of break away torque...mmmm.
Rebuilt T2 trans as well. on an NA motor.
