Zenki FC3S 05-31-14 10:21 AM

im running my custom tie rod ends and my custom spindles.. all i need

archaphil 05-31-14 09:51 PM

an actual answer would be JTP knuckles or abercombie . Could also wait on PBM's front setup

Zenki FC3S 06-01-14 02:31 AM

yea, abercrombie isnt a vendor and is like 6 months turn around

Oh yea, and my angle is ridiculous. Homemade.

Wanna modify mine? :) ^^^

Zenki FC3S 06-02-14 04:10 PM

Im down. What offset and front fenders are u running

Pirate Rabbit 06-02-14 10:17 PM

Zenki, did you just chop some off where your tie rod attaches or did you do more? and what did you change about your tie rods? Curious because Im looking at different ways of modifying mine

Zenki FC3S 06-04-14 09:24 AM

yes my spindles are shortened, tie rods are super beefy 1/2" chromolly stud. 5/8ths heim with high misalignment. needs custom machined adjuster for inner/outer tie rods

super unbreakable

jawbreaker 06-04-14 07:35 PM

well I might be an idiot....but I think i need new tie rods and ends. Which ones are beefy and good for the drifty?

Pirate Rabbit 06-04-14 08:47 PM

How much did you shorten your spindles? On my 240, I cut them 3/4" and that was adequate

Zenki FC3S 06-05-14 09:14 AM

chromolly 5/8ths with 1/2" stud. most likely need to machine the 7 degree taper down so it fits the FC spindles. Then an adjuster needs to be machined to allow 5/8" to the FC inner tie rod

as for shortening the spindle, how much is cut is dependant on your wheel, fender, camber.

more angle needs lower offset wheels and/or wider track width (extended ball joints). Need wide fenders and preferrably a ton of negative camber

i have a question, i have a set of super now cutting end links. this is a direct install right?

Fleemer 06-20-14 12:59 AM

^I'll assuming its just tie rod endlinks, if so yet.

Ambercombie ones are great and worth the ~6month wait. If you have some made make sure they dont fuck up the ackerman

Otherwise you can get tie rod spacers that help but in reality just get knuckles made up. I had been driving for nearly 2 years without knuckles and it was seriously a waste of time. I didnt realize it until I got knuckles that the stock steering angle is so bad that you'll basically jsut spin all the time.
