stock fd3s handbrake to far away?

Why is the fd3s hand brake so far away from the driver? Is this something that has to be changed if I wanted to make a drift car? I'm a total noob so i'm just wondering because it's on the passenger side, but on most drift cars it's on the drivers side ,why is it on that side?

1- most drift cars have hydro e-brakes.
2- its oem, not a drift car off the lot.
3- its not that bad(not like a fc were its right next to you).,

why ebrake when you can clutch kit..

If you plan drifting an fd..you have plenty of other things to worry about rather than just an ebrake.,

Don't worry too much about the position of the handle, you'll get used to it once you start driving the car.

I would fix the cooling setup setup before worrying about drifting personally, v mount and oil coolers, those are my must haves. With the ebrake, if you have the extra money, install a hydro brake, it's a cheap and reliable fix to any factory ebrake problems...
