I plan on chopping these up and fiber glassing in a different set. the part that is zip tied isn't going to be used, just the taller section behind the door, and part the over fender is going to be used once I get my new skirts. Plus, I got these side skirts used, and the PO CAKED on bondo on the back side to hold them together and I don't feel like/want to go through the trouble to get all that shit off to fix it. for the price, I basically bought the bumper at a really good price, and got free side skirts with the bumper.

Cleaned up some parts today. My fingertips are pretty much raw now. Also fixed the threads where my intake manifold bolts down on my heads.

A buddy of mine and myself decided to go in half on building a blast cabinet to use for a sodium bicarbonate blaster. Only took about an hour total to build, and was pretty cheap to make over all. I can't wait to use this thing tomorrow! It's not complete in the picture, still need to attach long gloves to the arm holes, filter the intake port, and hook up the shop-vac to the exhaust port, then put the lid on it, and seal the lid.

Gotta ball out on a budget man!! Between the two of us, It cost us ~$30 each including 20lbs of baking soda...Lol the funny thing is, He has a Huge media blaster he built in his garage too, but the sodium bicarbonate is perfect because it is water salable so it'll be easy to clean the engine internals that I still need to clean.

Onnnnn another note, I should have the main studs and piston rings ordered this week :D

Ordered the last couple parts I needed to start assembling the motor. Hopefully they'll be in by the weekend so I can start building the block!

ksnew 10-05-13 04:26 PM

Well, managed to assemble my heads with my buddy's valve spring compressor despite his modifications to it to make it work for his honda head. Whole lot of sketch going on in this picture. My valve springs aint no bitches either lol.

Haven't updated in a while. I Haven't made a ton of progress lately, been slaving away on another project of mine, but there will be a lot more updates/progress to come very soon!

Decided to ditch the gray. It was too plain looking on the car to me. Hopefully it turns out good. We'll see how it goes.

Painted a few more pieces over the past week or so. Nothing is wet sanded/buffed in any of these pictures yet.

Thanks, I liked the gray, but It was too plain. I think this suits the car a little better.

10thslydur 11-15-13 09:25 PM

Yea I would have to agree the grey looked liked primer

ksnew 11-16-13 07:26 PM

lol. I don't think the new color will be mistaken for primer anymore

Yeah, mine too, they're on my top 3 list haha. I got a good deal on them too!

I'm thinking about making a set of feed style combo lights as well. Maybe try to make them look a little more modern, and probably will make them all out of led's

ksnew 11-22-13 10:15 PM

Decided to just put projectors in my combo lights and ditch the lenses. Not sure what I'm going to do as far as the turn signal goes yet.
