i would think this would case intense stiffness in the rear and eventually cause the rear diffmount to absorb the vibration causing it to prematurely fail.... i could be wrong.
|
with that ball section it will allow the movement needed while making the responce better. or so it seems. both of these are the rear diff mounts. did you mean the front diff mount? I chopped mine up a bunch and raised the subframe. I bet mine will break before these. I could be wrong though. I generally dont know what I am talking about.
Edit. I was wrong. I am sorry. I glanced at them then read the thing below it. |
nope, not digging it from an engineering standpoint for the subframe mounts(haha, had you going there!).
some discussion on them here: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...table-1014464/ unless they are supposed to be left slack, which will cause wear and clunking. the diff mounts are basic and should work. |
epic fail, should have searched. thanks for the input.
|
granted i could envision it working with a way to angle the mount nut with the spherical attachment. as it sits it will be side loading the nut and stud tower to the chassis and may eventually snap it.
|
The sub frame riser lock in to place when you bolt up the sub frame. Then when you need to adjust camber you losing the sub frame bolts to get movement out of them. Also they have a front diff mount coming out next month.
|
think about it, a flat mounted nut is going to want to straighten out the mount OR bend the stud going through the block. all surfaces i see are squared that mount to the chassis versus subframe so something is going to want to give.

Cool idea, but I doubt I'll run them. I'm also a little disappointed in the individual camber links, they're non adjustable, and with the exception of heim joints, they don't seem to do much different than the stock ones.
I'll probably run the diff mounts, but I don't see the need to run solid subframe bushings really. Either that or I'll just run eBay solid subframe mounts and run with whatever camber I have now. |
the subframe hardly moves anyways, seems like a wasted effort putting these solid mounts on everything that bolts to the car.

ComicArtist: the reason they did that was to give less camber for slammed cars. Also the ones that adjust are weaker and can break.

usually the camber does vary from side to side.. therefore the individual adjusters are valuable..
