Copypasta'd to a couple forums I'm on. Sans details though, never met the dude so no clue if he'd want me posting said details.

Regardless, here's to hoping he finds his cars perfectly safe.

driftfcbuckey 01-19-11 09:55 AM

i messaged the forum admin to see if he could make it a headline on the forum or something. justin or another mod, can you throw all the pics in the first post since i cant edit it??

speedhunters, OMGdrift, Facebook, and all the vegas forums are on the lookout right now.

aznpoopy 01-19-11 10:07 AM

very sorry to hear this. i hope you get your car back dude.

D0ct0r7 01-19-11 10:19 AM

Dude justin, sorry to hear, but here is a thought, that trailer hbas n o markings, I won't eve n had known it to be yours, someone knew when and were it would be, you gotta start there, who knew???

driftfcbuckey 01-19-11 10:26 AM

yea honestly man, it had to been someone you knew... maybe when you were posting up the search for cars for that movie shoot, some fucker took a lucky guess?? its weird they got everything... super fucked up..

as much as it sucks think about people who are/were close to you whom may do it...

either way, i posted, and linked to this thread in every vegas site, and in the west section, and 2nd gen section on here.

revox7 01-19-11 10:47 AM

FUCKED UP SHIT SON hope you find it before they strip it :facepalm2:

p4nc7 01-19-11 10:47 AM

I'll toss it up on solecollector complete with details this time.

TweakGames 01-19-11 11:03 AM

Wow that sucks. Hopefully your car is just on Overhaulin'. Makes me want to put GPS tracking in my 7.

Good luck, I am keeping an eye out up here in the north west.

mannykiller 01-19-11 11:35 AM

son of a bitch... I'll repost it all over Face book. What a shame..

KrisD1 01-19-11 11:43 AM

This sucks :-(
Can you get a spec list up in case they brake it up and sell the parts.
Will have a lookout for the car on european forums.

RXILVER7 01-19-11 11:44 AM

I will seriously fuckin kill somebody.

Does anyone have any further details on the theft itself.

Is the truck always hooked to the trailer with the FC in it or was this a one time thing?

Was there an alarm on the truck?

Was glass broken on the truck to gain access?

If it was a one time thing how many people knew about it?

These details can help determine the origins and caliber of the thief.

Also see if you can get the police to look at traffic cameras in the area. A big white truck and a big white trailer driving around at night would be noticeable.

Daviticus 01-19-11 11:49 AM

It's so ridiculously hard to start a Duramax Chev without a chipped key ... someone had to have one.

Not that it's going to do much good, but I'll post it on my forum, there are a few SoCal members.

slwrthnu 01-19-11 11:50 AM

sorry to hear about this, my facebook was plastered with postings about it and my local forum even has a thread about it before i was up, and i'm on the opposite coast, it's good to see the word is out there and i hope it leads to your car being recovered before any/too much of it is parted.

driftfcbuckey 01-19-11 12:15 PM

i've got friends posting on local BMW/Euro forums i didnt know about.
everything here is covered... i told my friends in AZ/utah to keep an eye out.

traffic camera footage might be able to be obtained online easily... i know vegas does but they dont have the ability to back track.. its only current.

driftfcbuckey 01-19-11 12:16 PM

too bad no one knows of the amber alert shit, or whos in charge... get the info on that...

2slow4stock 01-19-11 12:19 PM

That sucks to hear. I have it posted up in a few places as well. Hopefully you get the cars back in one piece.

RXILVER7 01-19-11 12:21 PM

I used to work in the news and I know those traffic cameras recorded to a hard drive.

MaczPayne 01-19-11 12:25 PM

Fucking thieves.

sunburn 01-19-11 12:34 PM

Sorry J

I reposted this all over the place.

JustJeff 01-19-11 12:40 PM

If I were the victims I would NOT talk about details of the theft on these or other forums. There is a very good chance the thief/thieves are only a few degrees of separation away and are reading this or other forums. While we would all like to know the who/when/where/how's of it all, for now it's best to keep as little public knowledge out there and let the police do their jobs.

Simply spreading the word that it happened is the best thing we can do to support them.

sLiCk WiLlIe 01-19-11 12:47 PM

Posted it out here in MN/ND on a few websites... Hope you find it!!!

J.T.P. 01-19-11 01:11 PM

Does anyone have any further details on the theft itself.

Is the truck always hooked to the trailer with the FC in it or was this a one time thing?

truck was parked at a friends house.. was parked there once before but not a common thing

Was there an alarm on the truck?

yes, factory alarm... honks the horn and flashes lights if it's opened without the remote

Was glass broken on the truck to gain access?

no glass broken

If it was a one time thing how many people knew about it?

only 1 person knew it was parked there...

These details can help determine the origins and caliber of the thief.

Also see if you can get the police to look at traffic cameras in the area. A big white truck and a big white trailer driving around at night would be noticeable.

i filed a police report already.. hopefully something turns up.

Len-Len 01-19-11 01:13 PM

So shitty. I'm on the lookout here in NM. I'll be posting this on my facebook too.

barnett87rx7 01-19-11 01:45 PM

hey does the truck have on star being a 2004? even if you dont have it activated they can find it.

J.T.P. 01-19-11 01:48 PM

no on star...

Daviticus 01-19-11 02:19 PM

I'm still sticking by my thought that its' someone who has or had access to a key at one point and time. I've had to crack open way too many of these trucks at the auto auction back in the day, and if you didn't have a key it wasn't moving under its' own power]. I've personally been able to get into one and have the key in the ignition just after the first honk of the alarm - turning the ignition to RUN twice silences it and resumes normal operation.

GM Theftlock security is entirely too passive.

RotaSpinna69 01-19-11 02:30 PM

Posted on some Houston drift forums. GL!

Unless someone saw a really nice truck and trailer and said "there's probably something expensive in there". Hope you find it man...that sucks so bad and I know how much you love that car

I tend to agree. This seems like the luckiest thief ever "Oh a happened to get into a truck with an alarm that happened to have a trailer that happened to have a racecar in it."

I also believe Cody Parkhouse's car was stolen in this same way (in the same neighborhood? not from cali not familiar enough). Might be a trend.

Didn't you also have a motorcycle stolen not too long ago?? Know anyone who knows anyone who needs money bad??

gnx7 01-19-11 02:47 PM

Lojack or similar would've stopped the thieves cold in their tracks. Hope you guys recover the vehicles/trailer intact.

Doesn't that truck have On Star and they can tell you where it was driven to? Whoops.... just read it didn't.

4WDrift 01-19-11 02:49 PM

will post it up but i am on the wrong coast. sorry man hope that you get it back in decent order

13x 01-19-11 02:56 PM

good luck in the hunt, there is always the chance the POS that stole it had no idea what was in the trailer.

the alert is out here locally thanks to a couple of guys that were up early

RXILVER7 01-19-11 03:01 PM

^^ If they didn't know they had a race-car back there then it will scare them and they will dump it somewhere out of the way. If they were prepared to steal a race-car then they will try and part it. I suppose that gets into the query of who would be qualified to part a race-car? Especially one with such a rare base. Plenty of guys can have a nissan or chevy apart in a couple hours, but I think we all know how much of a bitch rx7s can be.

My truck has the onstar thing in it but I don't pay for the service and they can still track it, might be worth a shot?

Unless it's a cab & chassis, Ambulance-rated frame, or a base model [not LS or LT], then it will have the OnStar system present and buttons on the dash. In '04, less than 40% of these trucks sold were LS' or LTs.

Ka Kui 01-19-11 03:05 PM

Man........... this sucks......... hate to see this happen to anyone.......... hope you can find it back later on......

mothdawg 01-19-11 03:30 PM

Hey Justin...this car had quite a few parts on it that are only made by your shop right? If the thief plans on parting it he might not be aware of this and we might be able to find someone posting one of your parts or something...just a thought

MXRXRicky 01-19-11 04:26 PM

It someone get away with this that will be ridiculous. This is too well know of a car for someone not to recognize.

Tyler [S5 FC] 01-19-11 04:27 PM

This is the worst news! Doubt they'll drive it here but if they do, I'll KILL EM!!!

wankelmeoff 01-19-11 04:43 PM

Hope you get your stuff back, it sucks when kids decide its time to come up by stealing someones property. Lazy no good sons of bitches

Project D1 01-19-11 04:58 PM

Posted on some local forums. . .doubt it'll make it's way to Canada but the more eyes the better. . .

Best of luck. . .

Let's catch these fuckers. . .

Tofuman FC3S 01-19-11 05:22 PM

Insomnium 01-19-11 05:31 PM

Dcashdollar 01-19-11 06:12 PM

Someone has some balls to roll off in that.. especially with the trailer attached! Hope all is found in good condition. That FC looks like it took some serious time.
