you should really try and go for a turbo motor, even if its stock it'll be perfectly fine for drifting

$1300 for a TII motor?

Just buy THE MOTOR. You dont need the trans flat out being on a tight budget really. N/a stuff will work prolly up to 250-300hp until you're riding on borrowed time.

so spend 1300 on just the tII motor?.
or
a new idea came to mind tonight..
one of my friends uncles happens to have an old *** chevy, with a nice *** 350.
he wants 1500 for the truck. but ill see if he'll take a grand for the motor.. its an automatic tranny so ill have to see about a manual, then mounts, axle, differential and axle and i think i could have it in..

o and i got the motor on a hoist today and took a few of the remaining connections off and now all thats left is to hold the tranny up and unbolt 3 more bolts from it and it should pop right out

Too easy to comment on that.

Anyway, drifting is ******* expensive. Sorry. I'm constantly selling **** off my car in order to finish it. That doesn't make sense but w/e.

Anyway buddy club makes roll center/extended ball joints for our cars now. FD and FC.

$200. Wont do you any good unless you're dumped.

I'm not buying them any time soon fellas. Just pointing them out.

ANNNND, i'm busting my *** working on my car when i'm not at work. If i had a garage i'd be in there instead of posting on here late at night. Seriously.

I still have to:

Pick up my rt615's and battles soon....they came in the shop today. Awesome town.
Finish my bn, finish fixing my 1/4 panel
Mount seats
Install hydro setup
Install my newly rebuilt brake calipers
Rebuild bmc, new clutch slave, ss clutch line
Get car aligned
Make a block off for my acv since the TII doesn't fit....gayness.
Grind down the jb weld i glopped onto my tb for the butterfly/bullshit delete
Flush oil, put synthetic in.....
Flush rad with water, fill with 80/20 water-coolant mix and water wetter
Sheet metal ducting
re-rtv oil pan
swap tail lights (i broke the **** out of mine all pissed off removing the oem rear bumper)
Seal sunroof
put the intake manifold back on the motor
Get new belts.......

Think thats enough ****? Lol. The worst part is i know i'm forgetting a bunch.

budget is not lookin so well.. and i need to have it done in a few days. so im gonna stay na and maybe port it. i have an obx header and a walbro 255 knockoff fuel pump, i might get new injectors, idk. new radiator, stock ignition for now, stock oil cooler, a/c, p/s delete, either braided or see through fuel lines, probably an afpr, new gasket set and all that junk too.. and maybe some smaller things, havent figured out yet.

so i have to get this thing done soon or ill be in debt with my dad bitchin at me for "spending his money the wrong way..."
I need all the seals and gaskets to rebuild the engine( have read the thread about rebuild kits but all i got out of it were different sites with overhaul kits that may not have all the parts i need) i cant find a plain and simple list of what i definitely have to have, what should be replaced, and some things i can skip out on.
of course i want to make this car as reliable and quick as i can while spending the least amount of money possible. but i know i cant cheap out on certain things and have a reliable car... i just cant determine what areas i can spend less on and where i need to focus more time and money too..
im uncertain on the exhaust ports and whether or not to take the diffuser out.
im going naturally aspirated now so there are many of the turbo parts that i dont have to have
on top of this depleting budget( which went from 1400 to a grand to 800 and now hes thinkin i can have this car running with 400 bucks..) he is bitching at me for having the car in the garage.. all he cares about is getting it out..
my mom( who doesnt even live with us) is bitchin at me about this as well.
weve got a mechanic who can definitely do everything i cant but hes not the brightest on rotary engines.. with some instruction he can do anything possible with any motor, we just need to know what to do..

My advice. Sell it and get a honda/240.

OOOOOOR, just get a daily driver, work your *** off, move out and get your own place and do whatever the hell you want whenever you want.

Sucks to hear this but it seems like you want something you can't have at the present time. Not trying to knock you at all. Just think realistically.

You do not need half the **** on your list. Sell the fuel pump and header. Get the thing running. Give your parents a reason not to throw you out of the house and junk your car.

its not like that man.
my dad is loaning me the money. so everything he pays for now will be payed off within the next couple of months..
what does suck is that ive been in the mindset for the past couple of weeks that my dad will pay for the parts i need and a few of the parts that will give me a little more power but now hes trying to skimp me and only barely get it runnin..

HAHAHAHAHA I have a hard time believing that an n/a tranny can handle anywhere near 250-300hp They can barely keep up with the meek amount of near stock n/a power I am making!

Well, if you take care of your **** proper it shouldn't be an issue and would allow one to save for a TII trans to put in later......

If by "take care of" you mean never go fast until you upgrade your tranny :P

I mean yeah you can definitely use an na tranny just BE CAREFUL because a turbo car will nom it real quick like!

im keeping it naturally aspirated and slowly building it, but i am putting a few things on now for a little more power. runnin a 1/2 inch ,i believe, hose to fuel filter(which im not sure what to do there) then ss braided after to the injectors which ill clean, then upgrade those and pump later. stock oil cooler and dunno about pump, i need a new or a nice used radiator, and probably block off egr and remove all emission controls.. removin a/c and p/s and staying stock ignition for now, probably 1jz coil packs in the future. and electric fans
also i have this engine overhaul kit..
http://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/pr...4&cat=0&page=1
and i need the harder circular seals that go in the rotor... left them on the ground and accidentally stepped on one. what other seals and materials do i need after this kit? and these seals?..

The LAST thing you should be thinking about is building a drift car.........

If you can't use the search to find BASIC INFO(and i mean info older than most of us that is displayed for all to see all over the place), all is lost.
