No, everybody who drifts an fc leaves it stock. Havent you been looking at our cars?
|
Drifting is a technique, not a vehicle feature.

youll struggle with sliding your fb.
It will be easier and better if you put better suspension on it and lock the diff. Drifting isnt cheap. |
So i need a drift suspension and start to practice
|
You need to learn the limits of your stock car first [they aren't very high, to be honest].
FBs are difficult to slide. The best mod you can ever make to your car is seat time for the driver. |
Buy an S chassis.
|
It will explode
|
Weld differential.
Smaller steering wheel. Drift all day at 8500 rpm. Then work on suspension stiffening, Weight reduction, etc. As above, time time time. |
Which suspension i need to looking for?
|
there arent many for the fb. you could make your own...
|
Sell it.
|
Another fine specimen from Florida :X
aaaaaaaaaanyways. 1: take your differential to get welded (probably your biggest set back) 2: buy the stiffest lowering springs you can find. 3: = drift machine ps: also look into replacing the stock school bus steering wheel. |
I've been drifting in my FB . I have realized in reading more about how my motor works that I will make quick work of destroying it without putting in a windage tray. Also the Racing Beat Holley carb i have is not optimal for the drift at all. It's like a lot of these kids here say it's about seat time learning how to make your car do what you want. Ground Control has some sweet parts for suspension for the FB and Suspension Techniques Sway Bars ore great too. Mine has LSD which works pretty well but a welded diff is more optimal
|
Check THMotorsports.com for some of those parts
|
Any rear-wheel drive car (meaning not a van/truck/bus) can be drifted, but to do it well you need at the very least a racing seat (and harness, really), a mechanical LSD (viscous doesn't count) or locked diff, and a tuned suspension.
If you drift without these things, don't kid yourself...you're just powersliding. |
You say you can't drift a truck ? And you have to have a racing seat ???Really
|
Here's a good one, maybe turbo but I can't here the blow off 1st gen drifter

Also, what I mean is that anything rollover prone is not a good idea to drift. You could drift a semi truck if you wanted to; doesn't mean it's a good idea. |
That FB was tii swapped if I remember correctly. I think his name was Adam, Had some pretty good coverage of him in this years ago.

GC style front coil over conversion with 400# springs, 250# rear springs (5.5in dia oval track stuff), shimmed gsl LSD, and a healthy motor. That is all you need mechanically, then seat time, seat time, seat time.
