swap in a RE if you're very rich.
I would only swap a FC engine in a FC though. or a 20B :D But drifting isn't about engine power anyways, so yeah ...strange thread  heey, you stole my signature car :suspect: |
the more broad engine power you have, the easier it is to drift.........
|
Just get an engine that's reliable then build-up from there. Id probably say go with an n/a, do a rebuild if it needs it. Get a good set of coilovers and start practicing. Once you've mastered the basics then start looking at power.

This thread just reminded me...
What do you think would be a better engine for my skyline? Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24? |
Drift n/a.
You need look no further than what guys are doing with ae86's and single slam n/a ka 240's. You dont need alot of power to drift......just car control. Illa was n/a a fucking killed it drifting. No pun intended. I miss that car. |
Do 13bt
and go drive. Engine matters not. |
He probably went through a lot of engine since this threat is 1 year old.......

to drift u don't need lots hp but I think if u really going to compete and there is no problem with the budget go for 13b, I don't know but me I will like to have more HP.
|
how are you guys saying that you dont need power. ya sure u dont need it if your do 30 to 40 mph slides but when ur trying to do 70mph slides it tends to not work so well cuz u dont have the power to keep the tires spinning at that speed trust me ive tried it doesnt work out so well. and that was a s4 n/a with coilovers on the car and a full 3 inch exaust all the way back granit i didnt run alot of camber in the rear but i try a 70 mph slide and its just pulled the motor down hard
