Why would you think wheel choice has anything to do with smoke?

Get the Cheech and Chong Tires. Theyre made from tiedstick (weed thats tied to a stick) and they smoke like a 40 year old hippie. Plus they get the audience and the judges high which can get you great points.

Oun 02-18-09 11:23 PM

wat

Jesse[SM] 02-18-09 11:49 PM

Hahaha, make tires out of hemp and latex. make a rotomold from a set of good tires and pour a mix of hemp and latex in. Sell to hippies as green tires for their prius.

J.T.P. 02-19-09 12:02 AM

This thread went from potentially lame to freakin awesome!

ROLFCOPTER!

riverside event todayyy

lmao. I bumped the rear tires to 60psi and it had better results with smoke, Ican see clouds in my rear view mirror!. Another thing I noticed is it was spinning a lot faster and the handling became worse. I needed more grip, the 215s are just too small . Im going to try wider tires next week... But it works, bump up that psi =more smoke.

Another thing was the tech guys today kept seeing my car leak water from my trunk, my interior got flooded from the rain because my sunroof is stuck open, and rear stock oem t2 wing is removed so the hoels are exposed. The car would randomly leak water while in line so they pulled me out. I only got 4 runs today :(

while driving home on the freeway I think I ranover a random rock that just came out of nowhere on the freeway at night and it all of a sudden tweaked my whole car, as it constantly wants to veeer left now. Its weird. The left rear wheel became alot lower than the other sides. I got a flash light and checked the coilovers, and they look fine.. Im thinking that rock bent my camber link or something. damn I will check it in morning...

im hungry. Im going to eat some cake...

DRFT_HRD 02-20-09 11:24 AM

try a 225/45 in the back and 215/45 up front thats im gonna give that a shot and hopefully it dose ok.

RE TurboII 02-20-09 11:53 AM

and you can't really expect to get much smoke at adams either

dkwasherexd 02-20-09 03:43 PM

damn I found out why my car was veering off to the left. While driving home last night on the freeway, the rock that came bouncing out of nowhere that I hit , made my left front tire loose air. This mornings it was completely flat.Good thing it wasnt a bent tierod or something.. Yeah it was big rolling bouncing rock that came out of no where on the freeway at night when Iwas going 70..And I lost my front licnese plate as well. Im going to call adams kart and see if they have found a licnese plate lol

yeah maybe il try the 225 215 setup first.. but some people keep saying to run 235s , or 255s in the rear... then again those are pro guys.

slava 02-20-09 07:17 PM

235 in the rear is awesome, and my cars basically stock

im not a pro

USS CJ 02-21-09 04:11 PM

235 rear is great, soften up the rear dampers a bit too.

235 rear, max soft rear and no rear sway gives my car LOADS of grip.

J.T.P. 02-22-09 11:50 PM

if you're at or around stock... 234/40/17 front 235/40/18 rear.. maybe 245/40 if you're around 260 or so.. 255/35/18 for around 350 and 265/35 for 400-460whp just my $.02

Oun 02-23-09 01:21 AM

hey justin, how come you dont run deep dish multi piece wheels anymore like you did back in the day?

RussTII 02-23-09 02:44 AM

for me, no tire/wheel combo has ever made a big of a difference as throttle commitment.
thats whats its all about to me

this.

loosey goosey! I run 595's because they seem to always last me decently and
they wear predictably and dont chunk catastrophically...plus citytire always has
great pricing and availability on sizing.
