best wheel/ tire/brand setup for moar smoke

Im looking for the best tires that smoke the most. Right now I have Nexens 215/45/18@60psi stretched on a 18x9.5 in the rear and they dont smoke at all, well maybe a lil. They last almost forever, they dont even chunk like other tires...no joke.. I guess I dont like nexens lol I just bought em because they were the cheapest. I need something new so I can get that d1 smoke, or at least better than what is now... What brands of tires do you guys like the most? What is your favorite tire rim setup? Whats the wdiest youl go with the amount of hp you have?

inputs/tips/advice post em!

federal 595SS make loads of smoke. I run 235/40/17 and make plenty @ 50+psi with a really basic TII set up.

really any tire can make decent smoke, start playing with your tire pressure and find what you like the best, but dont over-do it

Shit, you should stick with the nexens so you can afford decent overfenders for those 5zigens of yours.

hm, maybe Il bump it up 10psi and see how that will work out..I probably just have to find the sweet spot I guess, or maybe its just my driving is lacking. I really desire that d1smoke... Techtrix said to stay on the throttle, and spin the tires more. Il try to keep that in mind too... I also have a pair of used 235/35/18 pirrelis and a pair of 245/35/18 bridgestones with good tread I could try out..

anyone else have secrets to put moar smoke??

Boi has a welded now. Rekonize.

Dk, soaking them in kerosene or pouring bleach on them are some tricks i've heard. I wouldn't touch that shit though. I've had n3000s. I can tell you they grip well and dont chunk at all. They last ok i guess. Dont know about smoke.

More tire speed. I doubt D1 drivers run certain tires because they make more smoke. It's all in skill. They can keep their wheel speed up to make more smoke, regardless of tire. Plus, you can't see the smoke from where your sitting in the car anyway so what does it matter?

Yeah, i've seen that maxxis makes car tires. When did they start doing that?

I bmx and for the longest, maxxis made bmx tires. I ran 2.00 holy rollers in the rear and a 2.10 maxx daddy up front. They didn't make hella smoke, even when i got my bmx sideways by locking up the rear tire at 18mph!

Toyo should make bmx tires. That way i can be the envy of the skatepark.

That car is old news! :)

TechTrix 02-15-09 10:35 PM

tires that wear out quicker (soft grippy tires) smoke more. hard last forever tires dont smoke, cause your not burning much material, thats why they last so long!

federal 595ss smoke pretty good, last a while if you dont do back to back runs and run them backwards. and there cheap
