Powder Coating Throttle Body Question

Disassembling my throttle body for powder coating and need to know if this epoxy around the coolant tube can handle the 400 degrees required for curing. Thanks for your help.

they actually hold up good if you just spray can it, and you wont be subjecting it to blasting and heating

but you could remove the tube now, then JB weld it back in place. JB weld is ok in the oven

Already powder coated a ton of parts so I want it to match. Not sure if removing the tube is an option. Afraid I would destroy it trying to get it out.

you could spray it similar, that is what I did when I had powdercoat. And that little bit of offset is nice.

i got away from it now because I didnt like the roughness/peel of the powdercoat and all the cast marks in the aluminum

Just took a look at my spare S4 TII TB and you've got a lot more of that stuff on your FD TB then I do. On mine it looks like some goop was squirted around the base and left to cure.

I took a look at the one I had Lloyd/magus2222 powdercoat and didn't see anything odd around the fitting. I didn't feel any play twisting and wiggling it by hand.

I've powdercoated between 3 and 4 throttle bodies. It holds up fine to the cure time.
