Nu finish once a week

For those that don't know what Nu Finish is- It is supposed to be a once a year car wax.

I have an 88 10ae with no cat and the back end of my car turns yellow because it is a daily and it sits in traffic alot. I Nu Finish the whole car every 1-2 weeks to keep it white and clean of course. My question is- Am I ruining my paint job? am I eventually going to rub the paint right off of my car? It is the only wax I have used that will get the yellow out with ease. Any other suggestions as far as keeping the car white? Thanx in advance.

I used Nu Finish as well on my 89 GXL. Good stuff. My car i got it form some guy who (idiot) used a brush to paint it but Nu Finish made it look nice(er).
Any ways, no you will not ruin your paint job waxing it once a week, just make sure before you wax each time to give it a thorough cleaning or you may get wax build up and that makes it harder to polish. If you want an even better shine though, i would use a claybar kit (soft) if your paint is decent (harder) if it has some bad defects. Believe me, after i used a soft clay on my car then waxed, i saw a HUGE difference and it was much easier to clean and wax. Try a claybar kit but make sure to follow the instructions or you may scratch the paint. if you want i can post some before and after pics of the car.

Ill have the pictures up either tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I have to uplad them from my phone.......keep in mind, the paint job on my car was in pretty bad condition with brush strokes in it (from previous owner), very dull spots of paint and NO....NO!! clear coat!!!. When i finished using the meguiars smooth surface clay kit i could feel the surface was actually smooth....insane considering it has paint brush strokes in it. I then applied one coat of nufinish and wow......it looked nice....ill get you the pics as soon as i can man

I clay barred the car yesterday then waxed it with turtle wax. It looks awesome! and it is smooth as glass. It had water spots on the paint that would not come out so this is what I did- wash car using dish soap to try and get off old wax, then dry it, then go over whole car with very low grade citrus cleaner (NOT Orange Oil! it will mess up your paint), then wash it again and dry it, then clay bar, then turtle wax caranuba wax.

NICE. Did you use the meguiars smooth surface clay kit? thats what i used, After i did it to my 7 i did it to my wifes....i still cringe when i say these words......*honda....civic*. I spent more time on her crappy paint than on my RX7. sad how a 2001 has a cheaper paint job than a 1989 lol. She took the 7 to work the day i was going to take a pic of it...so...i got it today ill have a few pics up.

Now every time i walk out to my car i just gaze at it....soooo sooo much nicer after the claybar and carnauba wax *droooolllling* I think im getting a divorce and ill marry my 7 lol
