Plan ahead, let's make DGRR 2014 the BEST and BIGGEST!
 

Hey guys -

First off, had a GREAT time this year at DGRR! Even with the weather, my flat tire, and my speeding ticket, it's just a fantastic car event second to none.

Remember, next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the event! We need to work to make this the BIGGEST one ever. So -

- Start planning what you'll be doing on your car over the year NOW so the car will be up, running and ready for April 2014

- Get your RX-7 buddies that didn't make it this year to get their cars in one piece and happy so they can come up next year

I'd love to see 400+ rotary cars next year, and I think it can be done. There were a lot of new people this year who all had a blast, and I know they'll be back. I know at least 3-4 guys here locally that didn't come this year for one reason or the other, if you start in on the convincing now we can get 'em for 2014!

I like your thinking Dale. I've got the pass for next year. Probably won't be in a rotary but I'll be in attendance.

I know of about a dozen from my area that didnt attend this year for one reason or another,,,

Ill be there next year with my FD, but I am actualy going to book for a whole week, there is so much todo there from rafting to hiking, drive through the smokey mountains ect,

I was thinking something very similar a couple years ago... Never got around to messing with it. I'll look forward to seeing it.

Dale, 400 rotaries?? I don't think I want that many.. If we get close to 300, I might have to put a brake on as it could potentially be a nightmare and I might get lung cancer and kill most of my brain cells from Carbon monoxide from rotary exhausts.. However, that being said, I will be working with city of Bryson City to use much bigger parking area if we do get 300+ cars.

But seriously, I don't think we'll have 1000 people. I would guess somewhere around... 500 people and maybe... 250~350 cars. The community may surprise us though....

I'll be in the same car but with the super charger. And phil, you can add me to the volunteers too :) Maybe you'll get a ride this time, wink wink.

Hopefully getting the Cosmo running and there next year. If someone would buy my damn RX-8...sooner than later.

I'll be reviving my car for the event! might even give it a second coat of primer

I have a LOT of work to do in order to get my BB '95 FD ready for this event.

It's currently running, but it's undergoing a complete winter teardown, to include a possible engine bay repaint......

April is just around the corner :D!

I need to finally make it to this event one year. Of course, the TII still doesn't look much different than my avatar picture, so, uh, yeah. I have some work to do.

I'm planning on going this year again. Car is running great so nothing to do but wait. Hopefully, i'll be able to stay at the lodge this time. Both times I've gone, I've had to stay elsewhere.

Can someone please remember to grease the police this year so we all don't get tickets again :)

im going to be going this upcoming year forsure. not sure what i am going to drive yet hopefully my fd or fc but no matter what i got the rx8 this year so no reason to not go now. i have friends that are offering to drive any of them that i dont drive so might bring them all down ;)

LMAO!! its a busy week they have all kinds of cars to pick from . I remember some of the looks we got from the police last year when they had missed their chance..

Just got my Modified mag in the mail yesterday. Guess it was the last one :( Really enjoyed meeting and hanging out with Peter Tarach, the former editor. He was one of the good guys in the business.

Doubt it will have any effect on DGRR unless you go to the event to win the magazine spread prize.

At least we may have less people bitching about the car show results now. Sad to see them go.

We have a good group coming up from Pensacola this year, about 5-6 cars! I've finally pestered everyone enough and busted ass getting everyone's car running right for the trip!

Car's broken? Get in the daily driver and come on up! I guarantee you'll have a BLAST and you will be hustin' to get your car ready for the next year!
