PLEASE STOP DOING IT.

We all use the classifieds to post both forsale and want to buy items. Not one person looks in the wanted section for anything, and here is why:

It is not organized by generation; a simple -3rdgen or -2ndgen WILL NOT SUFFICE!
People are looking to just sell their stuff out, they will just make a new thread in the for sale section, MAYBE looking a page or two back in the classifieds, but will not look back and a completely different tree.
I have almost NEVER gotten more that 2 responses to one that was posted in the wanted section, In the forsale section, I get multiple hits and I get plenty of PM's.

If this forum is meant to help us out, even when it comes to getting rid of our parts, its not going to work that well.

Please move our threads back to the forsale section, with the appropriate tag [WTB] it just works.

you should have made this a poll as i totally agree with you, i will click the occasional wtb thread in for sale section but i never venture into the wtb section.
wtb section should be scrapped.

 

I was hoping to get the attention of the mods but it doesn't seem likely. I think it is only one that is doing it too...

I could understand a WTB per generation, at the LEAST but not a general wtb and hope that someone looks... Here is the kicker, i've got 2 wtb thread for the exact same stuff...

The first one has been (wrongfully) approved + moved in the wtb section since 10/18/10 and has received 71 views.
The second one was approved in the RIGHT section on 02/04/11 and has received 151 views.

So FOUR months and less than half of the views that a 20 day one?

I got maybe 3 PM's from the first. I have gotten at least 20 PM's from the second.

Do the math, it is senseless to have a separate section.

to RE to the "You mad" I'm not mad its just frustrating as hell trying to find parts when no one is looking at my damn ad, or will even SEE it.

 

Instead of creating a thread in the lounge i would think a PM to all the mods/admins would have been more appropriate. Or making a thread in the "Comments, Suggestions and Issues" section about WTB threads/section.

I didn't want to because I'm sure they would just delete it and move on, and it has been posted before, by another member, on the comments section. I figured if the mod saw people weren't happy about it, and it wasn't just me, they might change this ****.

Yeah, you are right. You just need to yell loudly enough in here, and trust me, you'll be heard by the staff. Guarenteed. Keep at it! You'll get what you want if you just make sure you are heard!

100% agreed. The WTB section is useless. I posted my sentiments in the forum suggestions thread and they were promptly dismissed. I've never gotten a useful response from the WTB section.

Additionally, the WTB section on this forum is the second biggest source of business for me.
