Signature no longer displaying correctly
Ok, I didn't hcange any coding, but my signature stopped displaying as an image.
The coding in my signature is: andit should display as https://i108.photobucket.com/albums/...ignature-2.jpg which is a picture with a link to the zoom fest 2009 thread. The pixel dimensions are 500 by 100 (as per the limits of this forum) and the file size is 16.22 KB which is under the 19KB this site allows. so why did it change, andcan somebody fix it? EDIT: oh that's nice, this forum's "code" tags don't display code, that's useful. Let's just do it with squiggle brackets. Code:
{URL="https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?p=8768936#post8768936"}{img} |
PM to me EXACTLY what you want in your signature, and I will try to upload it myself through the Moderation Control Panel under your profile.
|
FWIW- After looking around, it seems that alot of signature pictures hosted on photobucket are not showing up at all.
|
So I should try and re-host it?
|
Still not working on tinypic. I'll PM you then.
|
Mine isn't showing either. It looks like all signatures aren't working.

Yeah, it has to do with either photobucket, or with the forum's software. I can't access the forum's software at all right now. One of the Admin's will see this before the evening I am sure, and try to see what's wrong through their features.
It's also doing it to those little gamer card things. So it's not just photobucket. |
It's not photobucket, the IMG tags are no longer an option in the control panel. Maybe the admins decided not to allow pictures in images anymore.
thewird |
No, because flickr and imageshack seems to be working still. Look at Juiceh's signature, unless it changed in the past 30 minutes from me looking at it.
|
I don't see any signatures (images) on this thread. If you go to the Signature section in your user CP, you will notice the image button is missing.
thewird |
Yea, i am having the same problem. I am unable to edit my signature as well.
|
You guys should try using the sigpic feature. It hosts your signature picture on the forum, so there's never a hotlinking or bandwidth issue. :icon_tup:

Have the site's polices changed so that sig pics are a no-no, or should we hold on to our sigs in the hopes that they'll later be restored?
|
It's nowhere listed on the site so I'm hoping it will be restored.

Signature pictures have been disabled. It has nothing to do with hotlinking.

You have to use the SIGPIC tag now for pics in signatures. Which sucks if you want to have more then one picture in your sig lol.
thewird or are you saying that [IMG] should be replaced with SIGPIC ? |

not worth spending any more time on.

Everyone on the same page now?
|
I think so, but what was the reason for removing the IMG tags for external pics in signatures?
thewird |
I don't believe it was something we purposefully changed, but rather a general VBulletin change/upgrade.
Personally, I have signatures turned off so I never noticed the difference. |
Any further discussion?
|
Bring back external images in signatures?
thewird |
+1.
Also, you never really said why they were taken away. Though that doesn't really matter if they are brought back lol. |
Why do you want external images? From the changes on the forum, I have not given a signature violation in months, and it's great!
|
Sorry, they won't be coming back. Not having external sigs lowers overall load times and keeps the idiots from attaching 5mb sig files (OK, I'm exaggerating, but not really).
|
Any further discussion?
