Sam,

Welcome to the forum. I am one of the moderators in the 3rd Gen section. I see that you quickly massed 10 posts all in one day - yesterday actually. Would you tell the forum more about your car? When did you buy it? Have you done any mods to it? Was it purchased from another forum member? Why did you want to own an RX-7? Do you have any interesting stories about the car? Why did you join the forum?

What you may find as "dumb" is an important, albeit simple, step to verify that a member is genuine. Currently, the 10 post count reduces classifieds scammers and abusers. This forum is a community of people who are connected by the RX-7/rotary platform. The purpose of this restriction is to allow new members to introduce themselves, learn about the forum rules & etiquette, contribute to the community, and build trust among other members. Veteran members quickly take notice when someone new attempts to drain the community for information then leaves. For example, they may be reluctant to answer a post that lacks key information or may refuse to buy/sell from a suspected abuser. We encourage interaction because there is much to learn from both the veteran and new member!

Again, welcome to the forum! I look forward to seeing your contributions to our community.

Sam,

I have some important news regarding all those posts you made on 13 Dec. There is a limit to the number of posts for new members in the "Introduce yourself" sub-forum. Please refer to this link for more information: No Excess Posting. Do not be alarmed if your post count drops as a result of this limitation. In the meantime, tell us more about your car.

Hi Sam,

I kind of understand where your thought process is regarding the post count restriction, but it was obviously put there for a the reason. As Gen2n3 mentioned, to avoid scammers and abusers.
I have actually just recently registered myself, and find the post count restriction inconvenient, but I also understand why its there.
Without the restrictions, I believe that it would be a lot harder for members, particularly for the classified section, to be comfortable buying and selling from other members from different areas.
A lot of members on here, and most other forums for that matter, do not allow people to meet up in person to do a sale because they are not normally from the same region as one another.
Actually being able to see and in-spec a product before you make the transaction in person, is totally different from putting your trust in the other seller or buyer you only know online.

As a new member myself, its nice to meet you, hope you are able to enjoy your stay here. ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶
