Will CP Racing ever come clean with me?

I am making a new post because the other one was locked and put into the archives. The story goes something like this:

May 5 2005, I place an order for a set of their lights...after many e-mails I still get nothing, the last correspondence from that time period was towards the end of July...fast forward to the end of January of 2006 and still nothing, so I make a thread asking for help from anyone that go to the shop and pick up my lights. It causes a stir they finnally respond promise me the world, and now a month later Im back at square one WTF?

So I contacted my attorney, though I really didnt want to, but I dont have a choice anymore.

From what my attorney tells me CP Racing is not registered with the Canadian BBB, and as far as we can tell is not even a registered Corporation. It also appears that Mr. Chris Campitelli is quite the shady character having moved around, and changed phone numbers many times in the last few years. The number listed on the website is ofcoarse disconnected, and the one so many of you have given to me is also disconnected. His e-mail address is also not working anymore. So what gives? I hate to make this buisness affair public, but it seems that this is the only way I can get a response from him, or Susie (whoever that is).

I have already explained that I dont want my money back! I just need my lights! Why? You ask. Well, I routed the intercooler piping for my FMIC with the intention of using these lights, and now I have no room for the motors to the pop-up lights. I truley wish I wasnt in this position but c'est la vie. The bottom line is that I need what I paid for.

Hopefully, you guys that are "in the know" as he says, will help set this straight. If not the offer still stands to anyone that will go to the shop and physically get my lights and ship them...actually I'll double the intial offer.

suprisingly I have had luck with their company. I know many have not. It took me about a month or 2 to receive each item (strut bar, and 4 point cage) for my car. Strut bar was nice, havent tried to fit the cage yet.

Hey, according to their website they are currently moving and upgrading their phone system.

Translation: Cancelled phone, and running from pissed off customers?!?

My Magic 8 Ball says, Outlook is Bleek.... Your best bet is to come up here and beat him up, but not much you can do.

Nah, In the other thread he writes they don't have a phone because they are "by appointment only" now.So that begs the question. How does "Sue" book your appointments then,do you have a homing pigeon or something?:D

Took my buddy well over a year to get his light kit. Wasnt even the one he bought. Just some shitty molding and canadian tire lights. $650USD for that? I coulda made something better out of duct tape and napkins.

I think we should lynch Mr. Campinelli. Seriously, this bastard is giving Canadians a bad name all over the Rx7 forums.

This isn't what we want as an e-minority. I hate trying to get guys from the States to ship up here.

Nope. Probably not.

The last thing we need in here is another bitchfest thread, even though CP deserves it. It won't accomplish anything, just like the others haven't. Good job getting the lawyer involved. Maybe if more people did that, less speed shops would take advantage of people.

Thread Closed.

Jon
