Here's something I threw together. Hopefully it will provide a little inspiration for the face. I would suggest keeping it as simple as possible. A complicated logo isn't fun to look at.

I like it without a face, your choice.

Without a face definitely works

Sorry about taking so long to reply guys, been a little busy this week. But thanks for all the input so far, I wasn't expecting this many different ideas. But this is what I was hoping for, to have a few different ideas as I had no idea what I really wanted. I guess I'll put my input thus far...

I actually like this design as its quite different. It is a little big/complex/colorful which wouldn't work as a sticker too well as most people don't want to have big bulky stickers. I can see it working for a business card though. I like the Toronto, Canada part, Canadian rotary pride, we need more of that! Issue I see with having the cars, is it would be difficult to include all generations, or would it?

I really like the rotor and love the font (exactly what I wanted font wise). But the wizard! Where did that come from LOL, I don't see me ever loving that. This might work as a sticker if its made simple enough. I don't know about the RX-TP, it sounds funny to me, what do you think?

This is the kind of simplicity I was looking for a possible sticker.

I had an idea also if anyone could create it into fruition. I made a quick paint sketch of it. I could see it working as a simple white sticker like Nextmod's. I just put the rotor holding a turbo and a rotor but the mascot doesn't need to be holding anything. I just thought it would make my 2 second paint drawing have a little more content compared to you guys. You guys are awesome, I'm already smiling.

I got the idea from a customer of mine that had a rotor giving it in the butt to a piston. I thought it looked kinda cool...

Are you looking for a logo or a sticker? or a logo you will use as a sticker also? I think you can get a nice intricate logo for the company, business cards t-shirts etc. Also get some simpler designs to put out as promotional stickers

I was wondering the same thing

I think I'd like a nice intricate logo for business cards and such but I also need a much simplified one for sticker purposes. Something that people would like to put on their cars. If its too complicated and/or bulky it becomes an eyesore for the clean cars. It would be nice if the "sticker version" was a dumbed down version of the main logo but I guess that would be more difficult.

Sorry, for the lack of input. I've been pretty busy as of late and always tired when I get home.

Just brain storming...
Instead of "The Wizard of Oz" try "The Wird or Rotary" or "The Wird of Rx"

And you prefer the RX-8 font? I like the original RX-7 font, but I'm old school.

Or how about incorporating the epitrochoid shape, into a character like Mr. Peanut. But make him look like an Evil Wizard. Give him a Triangular head and a turbo belly.
(Ok, I'll stop now.)

Incorporates the blue, it's simpler and has all three generations. Also has 80s styling cues with the block letter duplication. This one is more a sticker design.

I liked the one that looked like the Pespi logo. You know, considering that you're always drinking Pepsi, might as well let everyone know you tune and drink Pepsi

This is my final revision;

Marco, have you really figured out what your want? Just wondering thread kind of died.

thewird 03-07-14 06:03 PM

Yah, I think you guys were trying to hard with the fancy stuff. I currently like this one for a business card... I think it just needs some updating with the fonts and cars and put in rectangular business card form.

For a sticker logo, I think a simple text sticker will suffice. A rotor would be nice but it would have to be simple to stay "clean" if you guys know what I mean.

So, is that a confirmed yes for the Pepsi logo? I can make it in business card format then.

thewird 03-07-14 09:03 PM

It's the one I like the most so far. I like simplicity.

Great, I'll start working on it then

Hmmm, I am late to the thread but I liked the wizard one. Truly tuning is both an art form and a lot of wizardry, because only a few can do it well!

Since I spend a fair amount of time on these, I think I'll do myself a t-shirt or two of each.

Are you still interested in submissions? I'm by no means a graphic designer but I'd like to give this a try.

I think that turned out alright, I'll try a couple other things as well. That would definitely make an awesome marquee.

(I just put wankel down for fun)

Or Black Background
