Who wants to make me a logo?
I've tried getting a few people to design me a logo but nothing ever comes in a way where I can say "wow". Basically, I'm looking for a logo for my shop which I've decided will be called "RX-Tuning & Performance" or RX-Tuning for short. Describes what I do and is easy to remember, what do you guys think?
Maybe we can do a contest and winner gets something, ionno. But anyway I'd like the logo to suggest the rotary connection with a rotor etc. Possibly a rotor mascot similar to Nextmod? I like the color blue (clearly) but also like simplicity. I like the RX-8 font too but I don't think that is an actual font. Should I do a contest? :D thewird |
Marco, I'll give it a shot. If you have a concept LMK

i have no artistic ability so I am of no use to you:) Should post the different logo's too:) |
I can draw penises

If someone draws up a logo as a solid model. I'll try and machine it.
|
If I do something free tune or lessons in tuning (If you like the design) PM (your email) me have a basic concept, no Rx-8 font but I'll make it work!
|
Marco, are you working out of the TAG facility now? I live about 5 minutes away from there and that makes you hugely handy for tuning assistance, LOL.

I'm no professional but I'll give it a go!

I did these up in a few minutes between classes. Obviously colour palette and font are completely temporary just to give you an idea. Whaddaya think? I'm not sensitive so feel free to be honest.

Maybe the Circle a Rotor instead ? just a thought :)
|
I thought about that, but it would make it a bit more difficult to do stickers that way I ignorantly assume. I say that because as everyone knows, stickers are the best form of low-cost JDMfanboi marketing!

This one mates the Canadian theme and the Japanese red circle thing, as well as a better non-conflicting colour palette like the previous blue and red and has a more professional-looking font. It just doesn't have the blue.

Put two small rotors on each side of rx-tuning. Throw some atomic graphics/dragons to appeal to the inner bad ass and away you go :)
I like your logo. Simple. You can identify the number and business name easy. Sometimes things get to complicate/graphical. I like the fact you show first gen and third yet you are missing one generation. :) The last one. RX8. BUt you can't skip the third gen. |

Simple icon that will be readable at any size and there's no question what you specialize in. Colours are just a suggestion, they can be anything.

Sorry about taking so long to reply guys, been a little busy this week. But thanks for all the input so far, I wasn't expecting this many different ideas. But this is what I was hoping for, to have a few different ideas as I had no idea what I really wanted. I guess I'll put my input thus far...
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7365/1...d9f659f1_o.jpg I actually like this design as its quite different. It is a little big/complex/colorful which wouldn't work as a sticker too well as most people don't want to have big bulky stickers. I can see it working for a business card though. I like the Toronto, Canada part, Canadian rotary pride, we need more of that! Issue I see with having the cars, is it would be difficult to include all generations, or would it? https://www.rx7club.com/attachments/...-rx_tuning-jpg I really like the rotor and love the font (exactly what I wanted font wise). But the wizard! Where did that come from LOL, I don't see me ever loving that. This might work as a sticker if its made simple enough. I don't know about the RX-TP, it sounds funny to me, what do you think? https://www.rx7club.com/attachments/...2-58-17-pm-png This is the kind of simplicity I was looking for a possible sticker. I had an idea also if anyone could create it into fruition. I made a quick paint sketch of it. I could see it working as a simple white sticker like Nextmod's. I just put the rotor holding a turbo and a rotor but the mascot doesn't need to be holding anything. I just thought it would make my 2 second paint drawing have a little more content compared to you guys. You guys are awesome, I'm already smiling. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1393047698 I got the idea from a customer of mine that had a rotor giving it in the butt to a piston. I thought it looked kinda cool... https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...61267464_n.jpg thewird |
the wizard looks cool.
.Opinion?: what about just put RX on the wizard's Head(instead of RX-TP)..then put Tuning and Performance at the bottom. Performance would be all along the bottom, under the Rotor with the wizard inside it,the TUNING and & would be on the wizards smock.Beard tip area.) you may get the idea like this??? ...................RX............................. . ................../Wizard\............................. . ................TUNING........................... . ....................&............................. . . ............PERFORMANCE.................... . |

Cartoon Rotor holding a turbo, got it! The RX- is the actual 8 logo, the balance a font, T P is hand lettered from the logo outlines. |
I think you should draw inspiration from the TEIN mascot when making a rotor mascot. Or maybe something epic like the cartoon rotor holding the turbo over his head like a trophy.

While I was looking for some inspiration I ran across this, I just had to post!:
