We are in early planning for our annual Sevens Day, likely to be held at ForceFed (Abbotsford, B.C.) on July 10, 2022 (Sunday). Stay tuned for developments.
For many years Thursday night meets at "Byrne Road" in Burnaby were massive with every kind of car enthusiasts showing up. But the site was shut down by the owners (as a meet place) in 2017.
Last Friday night there was a Return to Byrne meet that was hugely attended. These meets are being called on a day's notice and yet turn outs are in the hundreds.
Huge turn-out for the Weissach Monthly Car and Coffee
Weissach sponsors monthly Cars and Coffee at Spanish Banks on the second Saturday of each month. Promise of clear skies brought out a huge gathering, spanning four section of the beachfront parking along English Bay. Look forward to more of these.
Five of seven FD at the Byrne Road (Market Crossing) meet last night. Events are growing and so far no signs to shut us down. Maybe the merchants have got the idea that meets drive (haha) business.
The Green Machine has emerged from a months long rejuvenation.
An early Canadian LHD with a long history as a basis for a show car has come out in its latest iteration.
We look forward to a closer look at this years Seven's Day.
(Yes that is a Mazdaspeed 15th Anniversary kit!)
Green Machine out in the sun!
Alcantra on dash and glove box, BNIB dash plastics, including gauge hood, in a seemingly Spirit R shade, blend excellently with the original "Luxsuede" seats, making it look like Mazda was years ahead in their fabric choice. Although new seats are on the way, the owner will have a tough decision to replace the OEM. Gauge surround blank was recently custom 3D printed in Australia.
The anti-bling interior contrasts extremely well with the in-your-face exterior colour. The green reflections from outside the cockpit highlight the interior beautifully.
Seven's Day Week is just a month away. Time is flying and event planning is heating up.
Orders for event T-shirts are rolling in.
In addition to the above scheduled events, there will likely be a Weissach Cars & Coffee at Spanish Banks on July 9th (second Saturday is each summer month) from 8:00 ~ 10:00 am.
These are some of the biggest car meets in Vancouver and feature hundreds of high end cars in a spectacular setting.
Further there will likely be either a Market Crossing or Chatime Meet on either Friday July 1st or July 8th.
There is also a big tuner car meet in Seattle that week with a number of Westcoast Rotary cars joining in.
Sevens Day events start in two days. Hope to see you there!
If you are coming into town for the Thursday and Sunday events, why not also take in the Weissach Cars and Coffee at Spanish Banks at 10:00 a.m .on Saturday?
There may also be a Chatime Meet, Friday Night in Richmond, stay tuned.
Had a good turn out for our Sevens Day Cruise to Harrison Lake this evening. Timing was perfect to head off into the mountains in our own private Touge , as the sun set behind behind the convoy. and highlighted the slopes Pre-Cruise photo-op, Langley Cineplex
Momentum is building for our main meet at Forcefed on July 10th.
Members of the Sevens Day organizing committee took a post event cruise tonight out to Chilliwack by the backroads. Northern Lights were visible this far south this week. They seem to have photo-bombed this shot.
We are in the middle of our annual seven days of summer. The Canadian Snowbirds were flying about YVR this afternoon. A group of us got out to take a look and get some simmering snaps.
Hangin' out with some slick two seaters..... 9:00 pm Sunset, YVR South.
