Got the car running.
Natural Sound finished up installing the sound system and interior. Couple weeks ago we took it to Marken to break the motor in on the dyno. Had a few small issues but was a great success. We took it back to Marken and finished tuning and got some numbers. 464WHP and 371ft/lbs 91 octane pump fuel 15psi of boost That was all we wanted to accomplish, break 450whp on the wastegate on pump fuel. Attachment 715664 Tucking 20" rims! Only FD I've ever seen that can do that. Attachment 715665 Attachment 715666 Attachment 715667 Attachment 715668 Attachment 715669 600whp here we come |
^ thats the latest update since this past weekend.
The body shop has some panels polish and fit (sideskirts) and we also have some cold start tuning left. Other than that, in the spring I hope the owner will bring the car back to us to raise the boost and try some 110 octane. I want to see 600whp out of this yet. Not too bad....for a showcar! |
Holy shit!!!
thats sweet that your building it basicly in your garage... amazing.. looks superb... how long have you been going at this project...? I like the color combo, and the Rx-7 on the front middle lip part... the rear looks awesome too... the tail lights mold in perfectly.... very very sweet car... so there is what 3-4 of these fortune kits now on cars in Canada... very nice car sir J. |
love it man.. that color is sick. can't wait to see finished.
|
This is so awesome and nice, where in GTA you located? I wanna come by and check out the car sometime........
|
Thanks for the great comments Prodigy, I've been working on it for my customer for almost 2 years now.
Ka Kui, I live in Kitchener, the car is located in a Super Top Secret underground batcave.... |
Man that is a ton of work in that car. Just looking at the wiring gave me a cold sweat. I do not have the patience for that.
|
Great work!
|
I can appreciate the hard work that went into that, but it's not my cup of tea.

That's an amazing result Joe! Any interior pics?
|
Seriously Joe, hats off to you. Great job.
|
Those seats are awesome!
|
Great work! Color combo works well! Power and looks!
I have to ask though...all this hard work on an FD here in Canada and its a RHD?! I know people say its not much different but I cant figure that one out. |

Thanks again everyone for the positive comments.
I did snap a pic of the completed sub box and amp rack, I need better lighting for the other interior shots. Attachment 715670 |
I saw a fortune FD in London about a month ago. Was chasing it in my Slowfire for a bit. Was hard to miss. I think it was red and black or something like that. Looked great and screamed like a banshee. Nice work on that one.

Impressive work. Having done some much simpler projects and knowing how much work was involved, my mind boggles at the effort here.
(Now that's it's assembled, do that mean you'll have a few minutes for more iron now? :) ) |
^pm'ing you right now David!
|
love how well it came together.....awesome car.
Natural Sound is a decent place. They did the install in my FB about 15 years ago and I won several trophys at competitions for it. RPM I am also in kitchener and need someone to do some work on my fb...in the spring time. I'll message you another time. |
^ no problem Nick let me know anytime.
|
Very nice! you do great work, the car looks awesome!
|
nice work, especially the paint scheme and overall fitment. its not exactly what i would do, but it looks great (far better than the last fortune 7 i saw) and at least with all that show you have the motor/power to back up the eccentric looks.
you're sure to win some best-of-show awards :icon_tup: |
Thanks guys
Forune Seven, is your FD on air ride too? Really liking the look of yours in your sig! We should have it out to the Performance World show in March at the International Center if anyone is interested to take a look at it in person. |

Hello, I'm just curious as to the IC pipe routing. Why run it up and back down when using a FMIC? Thanks! :icon_tup: |
fantastic project :)
|
sooooo nice
|
i have to say after getting mine...the heat just really fucks it up...it kinda shrinks bends and stuff...had alot of problems with the acrulic head case... had to take it off... and theres alot of gapping on it.
tips: put it in a garage and dunt leave it out in the sun. but its not bad... oh and i love this one too... nice job. |
Great looking car so far! Maybe I'll check it out next time I'm in Toronto or if you're in Ottawa. |

Wow, that look's incredible. Just show's you how a quality build and color's can make the Fortune kit look awesome. People always do those bright two-tone colors on Fortunes and it makes them look crappy. I hope you don't mind me using your colors for inspiration on my fortune build. At least we are in different countries. ;) I was thinking about going a little risky with satin black/grey but your's turned out so well I might have to reconsider! |
Fantastic piece of work Joe, congrats!!
|
Wow, sick ride! Props to you!
