1971 Mazda R100

Just bought this today:

1971 R100, orignal Canadian car and has been in a restoration since the early 90's. The guy I bought it from has owned it since 1981.

Its still a bit of a project, needs some finishing but very close to being finished.

Couple pics I snapped while I was picking it up today:

Hey Joe, congrats with the purchase.
I have been searching for this car nearly every week since it was posted on KIJIJI a while back. I could not find it, I guess it found a good home instead.
Oh, if you ever decide on selling let me beat Buggy to it as he beat me to the RX4 when you decided to sell it. LOL

I looked at this car almost exactly a year ago and I still want it! If Len had called me instead of Joe it would be in my garage right now! Just remember though, I have parts! I guess it's only fair though. I picked up that mint Evinrude Rc-35-Q rotary snowmobile on you last weekend.

Wow , very nice . What does it have currently for an engine ? I had a red one like that some years ago still with the 10A and 38000 orig miles. I pretty much cleaned out all my R100 parts last year but I still have a Mazda Workshop manual and the rear glass if needed. Cheers

Like I needed another project, but this is much closer to being finished than my 616. Just hope I can get some time over the winter to finish it up.

The car has a new 12a that has been bridge-ported and semi-peripheral ported. The previous owner had Stuart from Can-Jam build it years ago, he also has a Rotary-Engineering intake manifold modified for the semi-PP and ontop that sits 2 Weber 28/36 dcd carbs.

Its a pretty baller setup actually. lol

Redline, the car came with ALOT of books and manuals, but the rear glass could come in handy. pm me what you want for it.
