$1,750 is a really low price. I cant believe you did not jump on it. (Unless it had issues).

Its cheaper to buy an RS that to make a replica. Trust me.

I do not remember exactly since we have changed tires a lot.

But i think they are either 195/60/15 or 205/60/15 or so.

I can check it out if you really want to know

Well, here are the trophies the car got this year.

First place on Prepared RWD and second on Modified RWD. Not bad to be the first year

I would really liked if SCCA would bring nationals somewhere closer to MD to see what this car would do against better cars. I just cannot justify the costs of driving so freaking far away for a few Rallycross runs....

Most of the MR class at nationals was from ohio (OVR) region.

You should come to the OVR national even next time they have it. There is a turbo miata and a highly modified 1st gen RX7 there (Pete's car aka Peejay on this forum).

Last year this guy also came down from MI:

I do not know.... 7 hours for a rallycross seems awful lot of work and not much driving....

We continued the work on the RX7.

Since we decided to remove all the interior panels and trim pieces, the entire wiring harness was exposed and all over the car (door lock wires, hand brake, anti-theft, radio antenna, etc...)

So I decided to continue the diet by removing all the extra wires going everywhere....

Look how clean the main harness going to the back looks now

This was a total of about 10 lbs in weight reduction. Plus I can now hose the inside of the car with water without worrying much.

I also removed the Air Pump, the Cold Start and the Evap Canister (together with all its hardware)

Another 15 lbs out of the front

We just finished the first Rallycross of the season on the Mid-Atlantic region and we got First and Third Place on the Modified RWD class

There were a BUNCH of e30 BMWs and even an older Supra, but luckily, we were able to get good times through the day.

I think I have a good shot winning this year again. I just hope that my wife can keep getting good results like that one

Here are the pictures.

I was going to remove the rear sway bar from the car to make it more stable, but I was afraid it would make it roll so much that the car could tip over when hitting a bump.

Take a look at how much the inside side of the car lifts up when taking a turn.

Of course... now people look at me weird at stop lights when they see a two color car with full cage with a 3" wheel gap. LOL

I think I am going to have to get "Rally Car" or "Bilbo Rally Team" decals in order to get people to understand.
I would remove the rear sway bar, more travel for your rear RCAs. Another great way to raise the ride height is to use convertible springs, preferably new.

I actually installed a set of subaru springs I had custom made for my RS. They have the right stiffness and raises the height about 2".

That is the reason why I did not remove the rear sway bar. Its so high that it tends to roll a lot.

What I really need is a new set of shocks because these are COMPLETELLY blown.....

Nice! A friend of mine used to race SCCA Rally up here in Wisconsin, but they stopped holding the race here. Good luck!

SCCA is having some issues keeping some Rallycross venues open due to lack of drivers.

Luckily, our area is actually growing and we have already hit the maximum of 60 cars per event

Lol if my car was fixed up and I had the extra money. I would come up there and rally mine. The only track we got around my area is Gateway in St.Louis. We got the Busch series track they let us use for drifting/time attack sometimes but mostly midnight drag races and parking lot K-rail drift nights.

Thanks for the comments

Im glad that you liked the video. I need to find a better spot to put the camera so the road is more visible.

Im still waiting to receive my suction cup so I do not have to use the roll bar mount.

BTW, Its funny that the flag I put on the helmet is visible on the preview Not bad for a flag done with electrical tape!!
