My name is Benj, I live in Kelowna BC. I'm normally a Honda guy. Still actually have a built 97 Integra but i thought i needed another toy. So I just got my first rx7 a few weeks back. It an 87 Turbo 2. Its not stock by no means and need a massive list of parts. I picked it up off a younger kid who wanted to be drifter. so its half stripped, missing dash parts carpet ( which i really want back, cuz its like an easy bake oven in that thing). Its literally missing everything. So i'm gonna put what i can back in and have some fin with it.

Motor:
Atkins Rebuilt rotary 10k on it
Ported (Not sure to what extent)
550cc Primary Injectors
720cc Secondary Injectors
Rtek 1.7 chipped ECU
AEM Wideband
Some downpipe that I haven't checked but needs a weld bung for the wideband
2.5 dual exit exhaust to stock mufflers
stock turbo
Corksport front mount

Suspension/Wheels:
ISIS coilovers 10k front/8k rear
Varrstoen 17x9 +12 Matte black TE37 Knockoffs (One has a little damage from pothole paint came off)
BWR Gold open ended lugnuts

Interior:
NRG short hub
NRG gen 2.5 quick release
Grip Royal wood grain wheel with chrome center (hate this wheel)
Tomei Duracon 80mm shift ****
Gutted but still have the door cards
Dash has been resprayed from the terrible blue to black
Still has floor mats
Crown Royal shift boot

Needs alignment
Dent in drivers fender
Bondo is cracked passengers side by hatch glass (easy fix)
Little surface rust here and there

I have already started putting the interior back together, everythign was missing except the dash and the plastics that go from the floor to the roof in the back on the passenger side.. When i got it had no door cards, so i got those and put them in. i will take some pics of the interior tomorrow....

I already have a massive pile of parts for it.
s5 tail lights.
carbon fiber head light covers.
carbon fiber center console where the radio and heater controls go.
A brace for behind the front seats.
and a f con hks pig back.

More tomorrow...

 

nice man, i like the varrstoens, looking at buying some my self, hows the fitment, was looking at the 17x9 or the staggered ones that are 18x9.5 +12 front and 18x10.5 +15 rear. let me know what you think of the rims! and good luck on the build man!

I stuffed a Wink mirror in it. I love them.. I fount that RX7's have a few blind spots.

The dash was vinyl painted black.. Looks ok now i have to do the doors.i also hate the wood wheel. time to find a black deep corn suede wheel.

its not bad. 9 months summer 1 month winter, spring and fall.. its why i moved here.. what do you mean by "I still play with the thought"??

so i tried doing the s5 tail light swap, but was stopped as my license plate trim didnt have the lights in then. I cant finf the lights that go into them so i found some of these by dei.


as i am moving at the end of the month. To a house with a garage. (f yeah!!) Im gonna wait to swap the lights till then.
