how to identify a 13b balance

GA how to identify a 13b balance

hi guys i've had a rough time trying to identify the balance from mi 13b n/a i have couple different balance i have mixes so know i can't identify the numbers

Balance? Maybe you're referring to counterweights?

front balancer?
rear balancer?
rotor weights?

sorry ,yes counter weigths front balancer rear balancer numbers .like some engines have the number 327 on the front balancer the eccentric safth has numbers i open 3 13b engine and y mixe up

the n326 on the front mass is in fact a reverse image of that same number bossed on underside of the dizzy drive cog.

s4, s5 , REW and RE engines use the that same part inside marked n326,, so all front masses s4-s6 will have that mark
and yes the masses are in-fact different in these engines,, so it is NOT the best way to ID them

the front mass is measured / ID by its thickness .. IE the s5 mass is
( of top of my head ) about 23.5 mm tall while the heavier s4 mass is around 26 mm

correct, in addition the S5 front CW has a 52mm cutout for the thrust washer where the FD S6 is 60mm.

mazdatrix has a FAQ writeup on how to distinguish the rear CWs, though the rears after '86 are very similar and rather difficult to tell apart.
