FD --> FC Engine Swap

Hello all! I am new to this forum so sorry if this has already been posted, but I have been unable to search for it anywhere. I have a 1991 base RX7 with ~130xxx on the engine. I am looking to swap it out soon and was thinking about putting in the 13B-REW from the FD. I know I will have to build up the car to handle the 100+ hp gain, but other than that is there any particular reason that the FD motor will not fit in the FC, or will it be as simple as dropping it in?

Is a complete bolt in, once you have the engine mounts that allows you to mount a REW engine in a FC chassis. That is assuming you have a T2 transmission/clutch. A stand alone ecu is highly desired, and will avoid any additional headaches.

Look a few threads down to one titled "The Blue Car". It details a 13B-REW swap. Then a little further down is another one.

thanks! https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...e-car-1143382/ and https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...ed-fc-1123568/

the REW goes in ok, if you can run a single turbo and non factory ecu its much simpler, Higgi and i are both running factory ECU's and its a lot of work to wire up. the twin turbos fit, but again its a lot of work to get everything plumbed in.

HKS has a T04 setup kit, its basically the turbo kit without the turbo, and its basically the same cost as just the manifold and shipping... https://www.hks-power.co.jp/product_db/turbo/db/21353

i mention the HKS kit because the T04S will fit WITH the air pump and cat, so its potentially emissions legal, if needed
