"Back to life"

So im moving from the beginners section to here.

So. Basically. My car is turning over but not firing. it has sat for about 4 years. Today i put in new coolant, new oil and an oil filter, I ordered new plugs, and they will be here monday, also i ordered a new fuel filter, and it will also be here on monday. All of the car electronics work, from the sound system to the caution lights. I also forgot that i put in a brand new starter today, it made it turn over much better, but still it is not firing. When the fuel filter comes in im going to drain the gas tank, and replace the filter of course, and put in new 93 octane gas with a pint of seafoam to clean the fuel system

Today me and my friend that is helping me work on it, attempted a push start multiple times by getting her rolling pretty quick and popping the clutch. I felt a small kick, and the exhaust made some noise, but it still is not firing.

Where do i go from there?

In my beginner post someone mentioned a compression check, id be glad to do it but i do not know how.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest doing a compression test to get a good idea of what kind of shape the block is in. Then from there determine whether or not if it's in good enough shape to run it normally. If it's good, check for spark and fuel delivery. Also, listen to see if your fuel pump is running before you turn the key to start the car.

Yes the fuel pump is priming when the key is switched to the on position.

Can you post a link on a how to for a compression test?

Also the guy I got the car from is also my uncle, so I don't believe he'd lie to me, he said when her parked the car it ran just fine.

Yeah but when these motors sit for a long time the seals on the rotors could get sticky and not generate any compression.

You can do it with the motor cold..... this is just to give you a general idea of what condition it's in.
