I was planning on doing all MDU rounds this year, and the only thing in my way is my FC breaking down haha.

I should have the car back together in the next week with a properly welded diff, then was planning on hitting up a Midvale Speedway practice here in Ohio on June 16th, then to MDU Round 2 in July, etc.

Also, here is a short video of my last dyno pull with Defined Autoworks. :nod:

Don't worry, those numbers will go up next year once I have the engine rebuilt by Defined Autoworks!

Wow! Really nice build, man. The sound must be crazy on the track. Hope to get a ride in it someday

You did for a little bit before my coolant plug came off lol :blush:

We did get it fixed and re-bled, and after half the day wasted we got it back on the track to test out the new welded diff which I snapped the first round of MDU.

You can tell I'm a bit rusty from lack of drifting since last year, but who cares... the 20B sounds f*ing amazing!!! :nod:

Hell yea! Congrats!!

I have the mazdatrix steering angle kit with the rack spacer plus modded knuckles from Abercrombie. Also a disgusting 2" spacer since I still have s5 LCAs and can't get to extend my ball joint :blush:

Haha sounds good. I might try to compete this year as well at the Drift Effect, so you will have another opportunity.

Currently I have been inspired a bit by Daigo Saito's SC430, and started taking as much from the engine bay and relocate inside the car (coils, most of harness, relays, fuse box, etc.). I will post some pics once I am done.

Made some serious progress last week!

- Removed all unwanted wires from the front harness (engine harness was already done when ECU was installed 2 years ago)
- Relocated the following under the dash:
* Ignition coils
* Main fuse box
* All relays (except front fans; IC & oil coolers)

After troubleshooting all the changes and fixing any errors I've made in the process, I finally started the car after a week of work and did a burn-out to make sure everything is in order (and it was :nod:).

Now I will be unplugging everything, re-wrapping the entire harness, and start putting everything back in.

Will post some pics of the new coils location before I put everything back together, and then some of the emptier engine bay.

Here is a photo during mid last week, as I though the wires will never end lol!

I found a nice place for the coils to chill under the dash, where the heater core used to be. I am almost done with the wiring in the engine bay, so I will post a picture of that once it's complete. Need to have it done by tomorrow so I can go to a practice in PA on Sunday.

After having a very unsuccessful round 1 of Midwest Drift Union PRO AM championship (diff broke in practice), we finally managed to qualify 9th and finish 9th in round 2 in St. Louis. Finally got my first points in a PRO AM event and I'm supper excited for round 3 on the streets of Detroit! :nod:

Previous practice I went to before round 2, my throttle cable snapped on the last run of the day which my friend was driving. This was a NA FC throttle cable which was shorten by 2" when I originally did the 20B swap. In order to eliminate the possibility of another custom cable failing, my friend decided to extend the stock 20B throttle cable bracket by 2 inches and use a stock NA FC throttle cable instead. The idea worked great, and I don't think I will ever need to worry about my throttle cable ever again.

(Don't mind the beautiful cuts and welds, but we only had a few of days to solve this issue, and we busted out this braket two days before 2nd round...)

Haha yeah, I'm just lucky the cable snapped during second gear at low speeds before the initiation/first corner. Worse thing that could happen is to have it snap on a bank drifting... cuz you're going straight into the wall at the point!

amazing how far this car has come since like what... 2004? going to beaverun PA all stock S5 like. (and crumpled rear 1/4)

Agreed, there used to be a time when my FC was slammed with a stock top-mount and had no dents :nod:

Nice build

Here we go; I've finally made some progress in the competitive world of drifting. At Midwest Drift Union PRO AM Round 2 in St. Louis I qualified 9th and finished 9th earning my first PRO AM championship points. In top 16 I went OMT, but ultimately lost. I luckily lost at the perfect time, because I ran out of tires for that event lol! :lol:
The track was pretty high speed, fastest I've ever drifted and I probably should have tried 4th!

This wasn't the best footage because of the long track layout and because we weren't allowed on the infield. 3rd run is my qualifying run:
