Thanks! Yes the lower rad hose is a bit messed up.... I need to shoot some wd40 in there and move it a little. I'm pretty happy with how the coil mount came out for sure. I will be installing it tomorrow and will post better pics!

Thanks! Most of the stuff I've made it's been my first time doing it. So in that aspect I could always do things better, but so far so good.

Been kinda slow on progress last week. Waiting on coils, moroso switch panel, and main power cutoff to arrive. Might be trading my weber carb for a mikuni as well!.... Just have to wait and see :)

Moroso switch panel arrived yesterday! New sway bar should be here today. I will be removing the rear end this weekend and selling it for the se rear end install. Still need to do a lot of wiring.... I hate wiring! Pics to come

Installed my new sway bar yesterday. It was so much bigger than the factory bar that I had to open up the wholes in the tension rod mounts so it would slide through. Pretty happy with it other than the fact that it is the wrong color!

And yes the washer are temporary! Lol

My moroso switch panel also arrived so I installed in as well. Still need to do a lot of wiring and buy/install all the gauges. Love it so far.

Digging the switch panel, was thinking of doing something similar.

myfree7 Jul 7, 2014 10:03 PM

Thanks! I still need to decide how I want to mount it, but so far I'm happy with it

So I was headed to a buddies house to work on my awesome girlfriends newly acquired SA and I saw what looked to be an rx7 with a body kit....... Turns out it was! Now I had a widebody at one point and like an idiot I got rid of it and now I'm building the same car. Long story short they no longer sell the old kit I had and I couldn't find one anywhere. This rx7 just happened to have the very kit I needed....

I immediately turned around and went back to look at it. The owner was not around, but his daughter was. I told her I was extremely interested in the body kit and gave her my number. Then I looked it over for a few and snapped a pic.

The next morning the old man called me and after a few minutes of talking he said that he was not interested in separating the kit from the car at all. So I bought the whole car.....

Inside the car was a brand new never used set of tokico blues and a new set of lowering springs.

Messed with it a little today and tried starting it. Car fired up pretty easily, but the fuel pump isn't working at all. Car ran for only a few seconds, but sounded pretty good. Car is almost 100% stock and very quiet lol

That's an amazing find, congratulations! I'm always keeping my head on a swivel when I drive just in case I see something. Lucky it came with those tokicos! You gonna build this one or use the kit?

myfree7 Jul 27, 2014 09:28 AM

Honestly I'm not sure yet. I've done so much with the other one, but the kit is about half way done on the new car. Decisions decisions lol.

NCross Jul 27, 2014 09:38 AM

If you decide to swap interior colors ill take those door panels off your hands.

craaaazzy Jul 27, 2014 03:54 PM

Nice find. U can still get the kit brand new from black dragon but u probably got a better deal buying the whole car though. I'm digging the tan interior...very classy in my book, especially on a black car.

myfree7 Jul 27, 2014 11:10 PM

Actually I called black dragon about 2 months ago and they said that they only had one kit left. Once that kit is sold they will no longer make and or sell it.

Oh really? Didn't know that. Only means our kit will be more unique then. :)

myfree7 Jul 29, 2014 11:00 AM

Haha ya I guess so... Just think in about 10-20 years they will be extremely rare

craaaazzy Aug 12, 2014 09:09 AM

so have u decided which chassis u'll be using?
