I've got a decent amount of money in it so far but it's coming out good so far. I still have a lot of research to do as well |

Wow! You've made a lot of progress - keep it up, it looks awesome man! I feel your pain from the wallet. I told my wife the other day that all I'm doing to mine is whatever I can do for basically free - use my tools and a couple cans of spray paint!
|
Thanks I have a shit load still to do especially if you think about I've only been working on the front of the car so far

Installed a set of Techno Toy Tuning adjustable camber plates today! They are pretty awesome..... Will post pics soon

Nice camber plates. I was thinking on trying them too. How's the quality and the fit?
|
The quality seems good, but even though on the website they say FB they are actually for FC.... Which is no big deal just have to open up the original holes a tad bit and they slide right in. Other than that I'm pretty happy with them!

Buying an almost new set of tokico illuminas still in boxes! Almost close to getting the front of the car on the ground lol. Still have a decent amount of things to do before it runs
|
Pretty good weekend! Had a great rotary meet and picked up a set of nearly new tokico illuminas. Also contacted Techno Toy Tuning about having a bunch of stuff made for my build..... Hopefully pics will come soon!

Been a while since I posted any updates...
The original plan for the fuel lines changed a bit so I had to order some more fittings and modify some new parts.... Again! Attachment 656791 Attachment 656792 Drilled and tapped the mounting points to make it easier to tighten the bolts in its soon to be location Attachment 656793 Attachment 656794 Attachment 656795 http://i648.photobucket.com/albums/u...pscf6665aa.jpg Attachment 656796 Just have to order a couple more fittings then I can install it all |

Took about 20min and glued the stereo surround and the shifter surround together to trace out a templet. I'll be heading into the school in the morning to fabricate the new piece for the gauges and switch panel.

Went into school today and made the new dash panel for the gauges. Also made mounts for the coils as I'm relocating them..
Attachment 656754 Attachment 656755 Attachment 656756 Attachment 656757 Attachment 656758 Attachment 656759 Attachment 656760 Still have to file the holes and come up with a way to fasten into place. Thinking of using quarter turn fasteners for quick removal if need be |

Need to remove the first set of clamps from the mounting plate a made as they did not work so well lol. These still need some cleaning up and welded into place, but I like how they turned out!

Well I finally got the new ball joints pressed into my control arms. I don't have a press so it cost me almost $70 but it is forward progress so it was worth it . Still need to clean them up a bit then install the new bushings and bolt them back on the car. Work has been slow due to the weather so I won't be buying any big item for a couple of weeks and buying a 5speed for the miata didn't help either lol. Hopefully ordering a new sway bar and finishing my fuel lines so I can start it up!!!

I would tack weld it to the LCA to ensure it doesnt slip
