Did you replace the oil cooler to the radiator style from that beehive?

No I'm using the front mount....

Wow! You've made a lot of progress - keep it up, it looks awesome man! I feel your pain from the wallet. I told my wife the other day that all I'm doing to mine is whatever I can do for basically free - use my tools and a couple cans of spray paint!

myfree7 Aug 23, 2013 08:35 PM

Thanks I have a shit load still to do especially if you think about I've only been working on the front of the car so far

Nice camber plates. I was thinking on trying them too. How's the quality and the fit?

myfree7 Sep 5, 2013 09:28 PM

The quality seems good, but even though on the website they say FB they are actually for FC.... Which is no big deal just have to open up the original holes a tad bit and they slide right in. Other than that I'm pretty happy with them!

Buying an almost new set of tokico illuminas still in boxes! Almost close to getting the front of the car on the ground lol. Still have a decent amount of things to do before it runs

myfree7 Sep 15, 2013 08:05 PM

Pretty good weekend! Had a great rotary meet and picked up a set of nearly new tokico illuminas. Also contacted Techno Toy Tuning about having a bunch of stuff made for my build..... Hopefully pics will come soon!

Been a while since I posted any updates...

The original plan for the fuel lines changed a bit so I had to order some more fittings and modify some new parts.... Again!

Took about 20min and glued the stereo surround and the shifter surround together to trace out a templet. I'll be heading into the school in the morning to fabricate the new piece for the gauges and switch panel.

Still have to file the holes and come up with a way to fasten into place. Thinking of using quarter turn fasteners for quick removal if need be

Need to remove the first set of clamps from the mounting plate a made as they did not work so well lol. These still need some cleaning up and welded into place, but I like how they turned out!

Well I finally got the new ball joints pressed into my control arms. I don't have a press so it cost me almost $70 but it is forward progress so it was worth it . Still need to clean them up a bit then install the new bushings and bolt them back on the car. Work has been slow due to the weather so I won't be buying any big item for a couple of weeks and buying a 5speed for the miata didn't help either lol. Hopefully ordering a new sway bar and finishing my fuel lines so I can start it up!!!

Siraniko Jan 4, 2014 06:53 AM

I would tack weld it to the LCA to ensure it doesnt slip

Ya I'm going to..... I've seen a couple people have issues with them pushing out after driving on them

myfree7 Jan 12, 2014 01:31 AM

Any you guys selling or know someone who is selling a rack and pinion setup for an fb? I badly want one!!!

vipernicus42 Jan 12, 2014 10:54 AM

Where did you get that radiator? It looks a bit more beefy than the aluminum one I got a few years ago.
