Zatzy's Reincarnated Build

I joined this site in 2009 because I had purchased a car I had always wanted, a 94 chaste white FD, and found myself wanting to start to mod it like I seem to do with any vehicle I own. Now at that time, I did the small mods like a FMIC, Power FC, downpipe, full exhaust, and an external BOV. I was always super happy with the car and the stock twins and I drove the car around like that for a solid 7-8 years. Now about 5 Years ago I pulled the car off the road and decided it was time to try something different and I decided to pull the running motor and just give it a fresh rebuild and go single turbo. That said things went a little further then I had intended and after a year or so I put the car to the side and had to quench my thirst for travel. So after 4 years of seeing different parts of this earth I'm finally situated and have the drive to finish this build and being I've never done a build thread I figured no better time than now. I don't have much for pics from most of the cars life but will take more with getting back to work on it. I also need to name this car...been a nameless 7 for over a decade.

The oldest pics I probably have of the car

While the motor was sent out getting a huge street port I picked up something I had always wanted for the FD. Some nonflip up Cwest headlights

Some very nice stuff. Like the gold housings. Solid choices like the AEM coils and AP brakes and getting rid of the wing. Coming along nicely.

Spent some more time getting things back on the car. Just trying to fit everything I have for now and see what needs to be finished and if I am running into any issues which I did last night when trying to put the wastegate on. I had the fab work done many years ago and had assumed he had everything fully mounted up but I guess not. There is not enough depth to get the wastegate seated far enough to throw the clamp on. also even if it did the vacuum nipple is about 2mm from the frame. I know I could fight it all to work and have someone come fix it but I really wasnt impressed with any of the welding and angles he put things on. As well as my downpipe just sits against my lower intake manifold so I would much rather get it all redone correctly.

Got that cute little rotor on my dipstick lol. Also, I purchased a metal oil filler neck that should be here any day to replace that plastic one

Will have to spend some time cleaning the motor up as well. All this dust bugs me from it sitting for so long. I still have to get the oil feed and drain lines sorted for the turbo as well as dealing with coolant and vacuum lines. I was going to just put ends on whatever needs to be deleted but I much rather just pull the manifolds off and have them welded up to make sure there are no issues for now. I still need to sort out which coolant nipples can be fully deleted as well. Slowly getting myself back to knowing where I was at with the car and having way to much fun working on the car regularly again. I also appreciate those positive words from you guys!

Ended up with some crank case issues but at first thought it was the turbo causing such issues. Ended up running the car without the turbo on a cold start to see if there was any smoke coming from the engine. She runs super happy with no issues. I ended up getting the turbosmart oil pressure regulator and once that was installed 90% of my issues dissapeared. At this time Ive been able to get about 2000km on the car and getting ready to find a solid tuner to see what she can make.

Had to give the engine a few revs without the turbo on...love my little flame thrower

As stated before I needed to get the downpipe remade as the original fabricator did a horrible job and **** never even lined up. Here are some pics of what my much more experienced fabricator pulled off

Looks like its been forever since ive updated anything on here so figured I would go thru whatever photos and such I have over the last couple years (No I never take enough). There had been some upgrades on the motor parts over the time like replacing the plastic oil filler with a metal one and adding some bigger aftermarket oil coolers

Ended up redoing the stereo install to have something that once the factory floor mat was down you wouldnt even know there was a system compared to the full fiberglass one I did long ago. Also in last post a little video of a pull once it was tuned.

Aslo a little video of the lights active (not thats not the car stereo playing)

Had a few issues I had to take care of this winter like a leaking front cover as well as it was time to just get some new brakes on the car for now (not ready to get the AP Racing ones fabbed on yet). Added steal braided brake lines to all 4 corners as well and flushed out the dot 3 for dot 4

The Car was also just freshly polished here which brought out so much of the shine
